- Margaret Bowen is a freelance writer and editor living in the Kansas City metro.
After editing Simon & Schuster's Frommer travel books in NYC for several years, she moved to D.C., where she edited freelance for the National Geographic Book Division. She updated and wrote fresh entries for the Access Washington, D.C. travel guide, published by HarperCollins. She also edited several Travel & Leisure pocket guides, including Travel & Leisure New York and Travel & Leisure Hong Kong.
A born-and-bred New Yorker, she is becoming ever more smitten by Kansas.
