I thought I'd share photos of my clematis. The abundant rain in Michgian this year has helped them to bloom like they've rarely bloomed before.

Hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I do!

Be sure to concentrate on the clematis, not the front porch in desperate need of painting. I can't bear to paint until the flowering season is over.

Wistful sigh from a transplanted Michigan girl. Here in California, clematis season was over nearly 2 months ago (and mine wasn't nearly as pretty) and now, with the end of a below normal rainy season, everything is turning brown. I've been here 30 years and still miss the lovely Michigan summers.

Oh lovely! I so envy you your garden. I miss mine. These remind me of a tropical vine, Thunbergia Grandiflora ("Sky Vine") with the same clear blue against dark green foliage. Spectacular.

I usta have great clematis, but then I sold that house. could never get them to take at the next house... which might be a symbol about my marriage, come to think of it... have yet to try at this new house...
