Having lunch with Soupy Sales every day was a way of life for kids my age growing up in the Detroit area. There's not a one of us who hasn't stopped to remember him oh, so fondly as we learned of his death. And in remembering Soupy, we feel nostalgic for our childhood and a huge sense of loss as we realize we're a whole lot older.
RIP Soupy.
This is a great example of Soupy's genius for those of us who knew him well, as well as a perfect introduction for those of us who didn't:

Does that make me weird?
AHP - Alice Cooper was my very first concert. The first time I saw marijuana. Alice's opening act was Steely Dan.
Hi, Buffy -- Glad you laughed.
Steve -- I figured you'd get a kick out of this one.
I have to lay a least a little blame for my weird sense of humor at the feet of Soupy Sales. I watched this guy every day during my formative years. It's been fun to see the clips of him that are being posted. There's another one on OS that is a bit more risque. Lonnie Lazar posted the link on bobbot's post on Soupy:
I don't know what magic Lonnie did to get the link to post so nicely. If he or anyone knows how to do that in comments, let me know.
