Tut

 “Born  in Michigonia.

Moved to Babylonia! King Tut!”

As a follow up to my last post, I thought you might enjoy seeing the result of my last-minute costume making. We've decided that next year, with a few minor adjustments (a space helmet, perhaps), my kid can go as an alien overlord.

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween. It was cold here in Michigonia!

Yes, the costume is versatile.
Wow, great costume! I'm laughing (and in awe) that you have a plan for reusing it next year. Genius! Happy Halloween.
So many re-uses for that costume, you'll have to post next year's shot, too!

Excuse me now, while I slip into a sugar induced coma!
that's your "last minute?" Impressive! I'm more of a pillow-case-with-cut-out-eyes kinda Mom (last minute, that is).... sadly. Otherwise, I just trot on down to the Hallowe'en Costume store! The results are usually quite a lot more to the kids' liking.
: )
(did I tell you I'm up for Mother of the Year?)

Great post! Very, very cute.
ANd my son has been using the same SCREAM mask since when the movie first came out. Talk about levelheaded penny pinching candy looting! This is his last year so hey! Cute costume making! Rtd for last min effort!
Impressively done, and with planned variations, too--wow!
Thanks for the copliments on the costume, but you must understand that I didn't make the hat -- that we bought -- but I sewed up the tunic/toga thing. I am nowhere near good enough to put together a hat like that.

I am nursing a sugar hangover. Every year I say I am not going to eat any of the candy, but then, I do. And I am regretting it this morning.
You did a great job on it, Maria. You did your son proud, even if you do have a hangover. Fortuantely for me, I'm not much of a sugar eater (my hangovers are more of the traditional type), but I can sew buttons back on my shirts :-)
You did a great job, mama!
