Line Two: (From the next door Lake Boy, about ten years old or so, yelling to another Lake Boy a couple of docks away) "Luke! Luke! I can't come swimming! Mom and Dad are at the Yacht Club!"

Photo Two: The spectacular luck of driving by a tiny bar/club/theater early on a Sunday night and catching Dude Rockington giving it his all.

Line Three: (One teenage rural drive-in restaurant carhop to another) "So...has your ex texted you yet?"

I love the photos... you look so happy in the first one. Never have said "Mom and Dad are at the yacht club" out loud.
I'm happy because I don't have to ever think about "truancy" now!! ;)
Teenage talk of exes...good grief!
I loved that last picture-oh so pretty.
Looks like a fun Summer : )
Lived in that area from the 1970s through about 2000.

What's most interesting to me is the area's evolution from semi-rural to a reservation for wealthy suburbanites. It changed so much so quickly.
I miss all the farmland. I don't think strip malls and big box stores are are progress.
