Below are some actual comments left by real readers of Townhall.com. I post these to remind all of you that; while President Obama’s re-election may seem to us to be a no-brainer; the extremists on the right remain active and mobilized. Let’s not get too comfortable….
· You keep forgetting that Obama's goal is to ensure complete chaos in America. Only AFTER America breaks down completely will Obama and his supporters move in to take complete charges, as Supreme Leaders. That's the ending goal for Obama's supporters.
· Isn't it nice to have a Communist traitor in the White House? How many military men died defending this nation from Communism? I wonder how their families feel knowing that the morons in this country elected one to bring this nation down? I'm sorry that anyone gave his life to protect this sorry nation because this nation is not worth it.
· Obama was hand-picked by the terrorist communist organization Weather Underground with strong ties to Russian communists. Is anybody surprised that Obama is conspiring with Russia's illegitimate KGB government to bring America down? Putin and Medvedev are popping champagnes, but morons in Congress are only scratching their arrses.
· Education is very important for all Amerikan citizens, although also important is what precisely that education consists of which is why liberals have co-opted every facet of education from daycare to college graduation with Liberal/Marxist/Progressive policy as science, history, and every other conceivable subject.
· Turning Amerika’s children into legions of useful idiots will help pave the way for the inevitable Liberal/Marxist/Progressive utopia.
· "Community" comes from the same root word as "communism". So whenever some Canadian (or US citizen, for that matter) starts trying to make a point by invoking the word "community", just think to yourself "This tool is nothing more than a cheap communist who either doesn't know it or won't admit it.
· I would remind Mr. Chapman that the basic tenets of the Communist Manifesto are very much the principle bullet points of today's democratic party. Healthcare control via the individual mandate being the lynch pin of all else. To control healthcare was one of Marx's premier doctrines.
· What else do you expect from the member of the Wright's hate group and the Muslim Brotherhood? Obozo will always stand with his Muslim Brothers. What I can't understand is how Obama can stand both with fundamentalist Muslims and militant homosexuals.
· Obama has all his ducks in a row...Concertration camps, that have been built over the last 8-10 years,NDAA, now his ex order to be able to employ martial law in case of war..why do you think he told Iseral to not go after Iran until after the election...so he can...problably in Aug. or Sept....declare martial law and bingo..no elections....now the HLS has ordered over 450 million rounds of 40 cal. ammo. over the next five years, wonder why they need this stuff.....

Do you really think that if ANY president wanted to cause chaos in Amerika he couldn't do it in a New York minute? Get your head out man, I KNOW that you have a better working mind than that!
Please share with us your intimate knowledge of just where, and on what, your president is "spending recklessly", if you would be so kind. You neednt' mention those 6 or 7 military adventures that he inherited - we know about them. Nor the huge bail-outs to right wing banking institutions; we know about them too.

Please provide some examples of what you see as the "extremist left" comments. I don't doubt there are extremists on both sides. The difference is that I don't see leftists making up as much shit as the right does (Obama is a Muslim, Obama was born in Africa, Obama spends soooo much more than W did...etc.). Convince me that I'm wrong.
Doesn't the deficit have something to do with the two unfunded wars, tax cuts for the rich and the great recession? Especially the great recession? Remember how the last Democratic Prez left the country with a balanced budget?
You make a good point. If Obama really wanted to he probably could cause a lot of chaos despite our Governmental checks and balances. But then I re-read the quote and realized that the writer offered a pretty good explanation for why Obama continues to spend recklessly. I personally think it has to do with Obama’s hunger for power. The more he spends the more the people become dependent on Government handouts for their livelihood. That translates into more support for Democrats. When the house of cards collapses they will devalue the currency through inflation. Lo and behold, there is a great article in the WSJ today which explains how a power grab works via Argentinian-like inflation:

Sure, I’ll be happy to show you examples of the extremist left making up shit. Let’s see, where to start, Open Salon is so vast:

Either Skypixeo can’t count or that is example #1. Example #2 is the concept that the left inherited wars they voted for. Example #3 is blaming someone other than Obama for unnecessarily escalating one of those conflicts and starting another without seeking Congressional approval.

It took a Republican Congress to tame Clinton’s desire to spend or did you conveniently forget about the Government shut-downs?
I remember the 90's well. The balanced budget was a bipartisan victory- not just a Republican one. Also, the higher tax rates on the rich had something to do with it.

Notice how he blames Obama's spending for the massive debt the Republicans have inflicted upon America and the concomitant loss of revenue that caused. America's fiscal health was fine before Reagan took office and started the ideological dismantling of the economy. If Reagan hadn't started that trashing of America, the WW2 debt would have been paid off by the mid-90s. Of course Bush and his GOP Congress made Reagan look like some thrifty Scottish banker, turning surpluses into massive deficits and doubling debt. Voting for Republicans to fix this problem would be like accepting a dinner invitation from Jeffery Dahmer.
But Fever is different from those Townhall.com IQ nutballs you quote above.

If we examine the debt/surplus on Fever's golf ball-lab monkey IQ level, we arrive at a scientific conclusion. Even a brain-addled Goober can see that once you altered the variable of a Democratic president with a Republican Congress, replacing the Democrat with a Republican president, it shows who's really responsible for this mess. Obviously, the Republicans.
If Fever's theory was valid, even after you hosed off the poo stains, the combination of Republican-Republican would have produced surpluses and consistent debt pay-down. Instead, the exact opposite on methamphetamine and steroids. Huge deficits and massive debt explosion.
And that's just the debt they laid on the Federal account. The banking deregulation of cash reserve requirements resulting in crazy leverage ratios heaped about as much new debt on the average American citizens, and a monster of an economic crash.
I cannot express my admiration for the quality of Fever's mind.

This comment I'm writing now is a sincere question with which I hope to satisfy my genuine curiosity about discussions such as the one above: Can anyone--Johnny Fever? Paul J. O'Rourke?--involved in this discussion up to this point articulate for me what it is that you hope/expect your comments, or this discussion as a whole, to accomplish? What benefit do you obtain, or hope to obtain, or hope to create for others with these comments?
I'm not trying to make a point, though you can probably tell I don't see much benefit. So I truly am genuinely curious. Explain, please?
