Best revelation of today's Emmy nominations? My own 2007 Salon sexiest men living, Flight of the Conchords, are up for Best Comedy.

But while I'm delighted that bespectacled, deluded Jermaine gets his own best actor nod, let us pause for a moment to give a little love to small and bumpable Bret.

And where is Friday Night Lights? They get an nomination for best casting ... and the cast is totally ignored.

Steven - I'd imagine that the cast of Friday Night Lights get together with the gang from Battlestar Galactica and The Shield and throw a huge, "Can you believe we were fucking excluded AGAIN?" party.
