TERROR DOMESTICA
9/11 has cast a pall on me
Because I am the
Universal Soldier
The proverbial Sojourner
Embroiled and inscribed in an eternal
Intra-cultural Warfare—
Tribal in nature
On Native soil,
Which I can never hope to win.
My enemy is History—
Or is it Original Sin?
Being colored and female—asexual, bisexual?
One never knows.
My enemy is elusive—
Always hides his face behind
Customs—and sometimes—
Disguises himself as Law
Sometimes, as Philosophy or Religion.
Hard to recognize—but more difficult to disguise.
How do you disguise hate?
Racism
Intolerance?
Why, wrap it in the Flag—Or,
Blame it on God.
So logical!
