OUR HEALTH CARE FUTURE

Speaker Nancy Pelosi said this is the bill Congress was to vote for so that they could find out what was
in it.  They voted. Now we find out what is in it.

  THE CARE BILL HB 3200

· At age 76 when you most need it, you are not eligible for cancer treatment

· ______________________________
· Obama Care Highlighted by Page Number

JUDGE KITHIL IS THE 2ND OFFICIAL WHO HAS OUTLINED THESE PARTS OF THE CARE BILL.
· Judge Kithil of Marble Falls , TX – highlighted the most egregious pages of HB3200
JUDGE KITHIL wrote:

** Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally.

** Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an individual’s bank account and will have the authority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts.

** Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the government) for all union members, union retirees and for community organizations (such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now – ACORN).

** Page 203/line 14-15: The tax imposed under this section will not be treated as a tax. (How could anybody in their right mind come up with that?)

** Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of specialty, and the government will set all doctors’ fees.

** Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospital will ration care according to the patient’s age.

** Page 317 and 321: The government will impose a prohibition on hospital expansion; however, communities may petition for an exception.

** Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care planning consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an “end-of-life planning” seminar every five years. (Death counseling..)

** Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order. HAD ENOUGH???? Judge Kithil then goes on to identify:

“Finally, it is specifically stated that this bill will not apply to members of Congress. Members of Congress are already exempt from the Social Security system, and have a well-funded private plan that covers their retirement needs. If they were on our Social Security plan, I believe they would find a very quick ‘fix’ to make the plan financially sound for their future.”

Sounds like a great bill to me.

Coulda been better.

Much better.

But the scumbag conservatives in congress prevented that from happening. They didn't even want this much to get through.

I understand how disgusted you must be with the conservatives in congress for allowing the bill to contain these provisions, McAuthor. Thanks for letting us know.
Frank you 'understand' how 'disgusted' I must be...do you now? Did you see the word disgusted in this? I have lived under national health care, my father in law needed emergency surgery, they scheduled 6 months later, only trouble was to perform it they would have had to exhume him. My mother was very ill, she lay in a hospital hallway with others for 11 days before they had a bed for her. At her autopsy it was found that she was ravaged by the super bug she contracted in hospital. Disgusted? No, frightened? Yes. I have been there, I have done that.
McAuthor, you wrote:

No, you didn’t use the word “disgust” at all. But I truly read “disgust” in so much of what you had to say. Did I really read you that wrong? Isn’t there a trace of “disgust” in what you wrote?

I have lived under national health care, my father in law needed emergency surgery, they scheduled 6 months later, only trouble was to perform it they would have had to exhume him.

Okay…national health care is not perfect; and I am sorry your father-in-law died under whatever circumstances he did. Are you suggesting, however, that non-national health care IS perfect? Are you suggesting that no one ever dies unnecessarily except under national health care? Are you suggesting your father-in-law would not have died if national health care did not exist?

If so—why?

My mother was very ill, she lay in a hospital hallway with others for 11 days before they had a bed for her. At her autopsy it was found that she was ravaged by the super bug she contracted in hospital. Disgusted? No, frightened? Yes. I have been there, I have done that.

I feel your pain—and if I could say something to comfort you, I would. I mean that. I have had similar circumstances occur in my family…indeed, in my personal life. I was treated for cancer (I had no health insurance) by the VA…as close as one can get to national health care in the United States.

There were lots of things I could complain about--LOTS—but I am still alive 15 years later.

In any case, we are in agreement. The present health care bill has lots of defects. Those scumbag conservatives I mentioned earlier could have helped to make it a better bill…to eliminate some of the things you find objectionable.

So…
Frank, I appreciate your thoughtful reply but I must ask why you chose to use the word "scumbags" when discussing conservatives?

I posted the summation of a Judge in Texas.

Our health care system needs overhauling but in the light of day, not behind closed doors, not signed before it is read, not with arms twisted and bribes paid. I freely admit the process of passing this bill did disgust me.

The bill as passed will lead to a health care crisis. Doctors of varying education platforms and skills will not work for a flat fee, specialists especially have hundreds of thousand of loans, liability insurance coverage and high overheads to cover. Did you see my post on what Australian doctors are doing? They have to shake the welfare recipients off their rolls. They cannot afford to have a patient load packed with government mandated reimbursements, they came up with an ingenius way to obey the law yet shake off those who do not pay co-pays leaving them free to treat those who can afford to pay the copays in order to have a financially viable practice.

It is is already difficult to find a doctor who will take medi-care. When I coordinated a psychiatric inpatient program in California we could only accept a certain number of medicare patients. The reimbursement rates were so low. It left me nothing to pay the therapists and social workers. They donated their time. That was not sustainable. This bill will take my California experience and force hospitals and doctors to accept low fee patients across the country. That is not sustainable either.
frank says scumbags because he is a passive-aggressive psychotic blabbermouth, and a walking, talking contradiction.

He hates liberals.

His bio says:

"Quite frankly, I consider American conservatism to be one of the most dangerous pieces of garbage ever to pollute the planet Earth.

Goddam near everyone I work with or play golf with, almost all of whom are 70+ year old white, males, is a die-hard conservative. I love each and every one of ‘em—love every bone in their heads. Truly!"

He, also brags that he LOVES to argue and is proud to have been thrown off of three message boards (thus far).

Pay the pest little heed as his misfiring brain neurons could fit on a pin with room to spare.
It takes little effort to Google these types of bogus claims. For example, if you had before you unquestioningly posted it, I wouldn't be compelled to point out it's almost entirely trash. Also, no aspersions about your gullibility would be raised if you didn't put your stamp of approval on something so easily debunked.

Let's just hope those e-mailing Nigerian scamsters don't see this and know where to send their next promise of inherited millions.

Your concerns are noted. However, there is great need for a more nearly universal healthcare system in the United States—and this is a step in that direction.

Surely it is not a satisfying step…not for conservatives and not for liberals. The conservatives want to see the initiative completely discarded—the liberals want to see it extended in considerable ways.

Look…national health care has worked in several countries…and it works here in the VA health system. It ain’t pretty—but neither are many things that serve a purpose in this world. We have to work on it—fine tune it—expand it to include more people—allow for doctors to continue to make lots of money.

But it is a start—and in my opinion, a good start. It allows more people to be covered.

Personally, I don’t think it will survive the next administration—especially, if as I suppose, the most extreme conservative Republicans actually make significant gains in the congress as well as take over the White House. We will have to start again in a future administration.

We’ll see.

By the way…I do not use the word “scumbags” when discussing conservatives. I used it specifically in discussing the conservative congresspersons who did their best to run the health care initiative off the tracks. If you read my bio, I mention that I have many friends and relatives who are conservatives—and whom I love dearly.

As you might guess…sometimes when discussing these matters on the Internet, I get heated and perhaps push too far. Thanks for being a reasonable discussion partner, McAuthor.
