It's Getting So Much Better

Rate: 46 Flag

Sometimes life is a trickster, sometimes it's a truth-teller. If you listen to the music in your heart, allow brightness to enter into your darkness, perhaps lost can be found. I pray the brightenss intensifies for a long, long time....

It's getting better...

the Beatles sang the right song for this moment that I feel.
It does, it does. It just has to....
It's getting better, I can feel it, wait, no, that was just gas....;)

Walk Away
The only good thing about depression is the reemergence of the spirit.

Tink
I can always count on you.... : )
Great great song!! Couldn't get no betta'~~

that song just stuck in my head today. Kind of appropriate too.
This is a good sign!! HOPE!!!
You can never go wrong listening to the Beatles or to the voice of positivity. And did you make this artwork? Whoever did, it's a great series of pictures; light and life trump darkness!
Lois
It stayed longer than usual, but yes to Hope and family and friends!
Jeff
thank you... Yes... It's my artwork...
I'm really glad to hear/see this expressed in such a beautiful way! Remember, when you open the door a crack...that light comes flooding through!
Sheila
I recall a phone earlier in the week that set me on the right course. Thank you.... xox
patrick
the artist's mind is complicated. Conflict resolves once the color saturates. Thank you for continuously supporting my work on OS!
I loved this Chuck, but I have to admit I thought it would all end in a field of burning flowers and tears.
Rated for not doing that.
I love this! very cool.
Glad to hear you're feeling better.
:-)
Andy H
Nope to the tears... Nope to scorched earth. Thank you for your kindness.
spotted_mind

Oh, you have no idea how much I needed this tonight. And more, am going to share it with one who needs it most. Yea for you and thank you, thank you for sharing with us.
Sally
Wow... I thank you. I do hope it helps.
You got some talent there, Chuck. Very nice! I do stick people.
Michael
Digital artwork is the stick figures of art. : )
There IS light at the end of that tunnel. I can see it coming. Colored flowers are the first sign! Yea!!
Love it. Love the art. :)
oh, god, i am so happy. i've been so freaking worried about you, love. very very worried and not just "im' a jew" worry. real concenr. i'm so thrilled that it's getting better!!!! that you can see color again. and what a brilliant and evocative post! love love loev and gratitude (sorry i'm not more effusive, chuck.)
trilogy
I often say that when I can think in colors, everything is starting to balance out.

sweetfeet
Thank you... My art remains dormant and then gets restless. I need to keep it fed. : )
Teddy
Extraordinarily effusive ... you always manage to make me feel worthwhile in this trap we call the artistic mind. A big XOX
I went through a period of deep depression several years ago and the one thing I could say to people who asked me how I was? I see everything in shades of gray. When the meds finally started to kick in, I found I was seeing in color again, muted at first, then brighter and more saturated each day, until finally all the colors were where they were supposed to be--and I was feeling whole again. So I can really relate to this. I'm so glad you're starting to come out of the funk now. And I hope it sticks. Depression isn't anything to laugh about--but when it starts to dissipate laughter follows! Rated for soul-honesty. D
wow! incredible artwork. I'm glad the light is shining through for you.

I've dealt with depression for decades, I've also counseled patients with varying degrees and depths of depression. The return of color is important in the equilibrium of sanity.

Unbreakable
Thank you for your kindness. The artwork sometimes expresses my thoughts better than words.
oh god, chuck. i make you feel worthwhile???? wow, what a gift you give me, love. i'm having a terrible, awful PTSD day and you saying that, well, it heals a whole lot of shit. love love love
Have you ever lived in a "Yellow Submarine?"
Segway new Beatles song for additional inspiration.

segway submerged into the subconscious... : )
Life throws us limp, black and white flowers and you make them into lemonade... oh hell, you know what I mean. Wonderful!
Roger F.
Thank you... I sometimes forget to sip the lemonade, but I often crave it.
That was cool. Reminds me of being a hippie, how nothing was minimal, images were lush and vivid. Of course, that reflected the drugs we were taking, but you don't seem to need any drugs. It must be nice when your natural state is stoned on acid ;-)

It sucks what happened to James. I'm glad you did this.
Sirenita Lake
I met James on Thursday. He needs some encouragement to stick with his writing. He's genius....
Where there is a smile, there is hope. Where there is hope, there is a smile. I'm so grateful things are better. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.

Keep moving forward -you're headed in the right direction!
Waaay cool, Chuck! I actually like each phase...it makes the last such a joy...as, indeed, you are.
I love how multi-facetted you are, I never know what to expect when I come to your blog... peaceful way to end my OS surfing for the day
Chuck- Is there no limit to your talents? Your artwork is spectacular!
I'm one friend who is elated to know that things are getting better all the time in your world...thus in ours, as well...

Nice. I'm like the illustrations . . . and words ain't slouching along, niether!
That should have been I'm liking the illustrations . . . freudian slip?
I really, really like this & am glad you are feeling it
There's a kindness about you that I can't wrap words around.
melissa, patie, y heron, ellen, tia, karen,
Will Someone Feed The Cat? : thank you all for commenting. I often let my mind wander, and knowing that my musings resonate with some makes the endeavor worthwhile. Again my thanks and gratitude.
I love this. Simply love it. Thank you.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This made my day Chuck. The art is beautiful and the manner in which it so simply but unambiguously expresses your feelings as amazing. I am very pleased for you.
mypsyche, roy, kathy K, kellylark: Thank you all for your kindness and comments. I'm finding myself thinking more about expressing lyrics within some artwork. I guess the muse is evolving. : )
Chuck, fantastic really fantastic!
Lorri Sherston
Thank you for stopping by and commenting. kindness is really a wonderful thing.
Just getting around to this, sorry to be late. I have to say, Chuck, the art work is superb. The choice of song (well, I mean the song that chose you, that is ;-D) equally superb.

"You gave me the word
I finally heard
I'm doing the best that I can."

I've got to admit, you're getting better. All the time. :-D

Thank you... The more my mind recalculates color, I find myself wanting to explore life.
I just absolutely love this! Rated (earlier today).
hey chuck it's seems like you are a cool guy. drop me a line.

thank you. I've been pondering this post. It reminds me of some type of recreational therapy we'd do with psych-patients. Therapy does help!
Don't forget Lennon's cynical voice in the background singing: "Couldn't get any worse".
right after the darkness it rains and washes it all away
It does get better Chuck. Time heals all wounds and patience is a virtue apply. Life is tough and a confusing puzzle we all must work.

Or as Groucho Marx said "time wounds all heels".
Nothing like the good sun to call flowers to life and colour. Great, Chuck (I saw you on facebook, if not, I would have missed this, the gods are with me tonight, LOL!)
I´m going to bed (ten-to-one am here) with your beautiful "Getting so much better all the time... Better... Better...Better...." in my heart. I feel very happy for you.
Good night, dear friend,
