Deconstructing Demons

The bricks in the wall are dancing on loose mortar.

Crumbling dust is collected in breath.

Darkness chokes on the nothing.

Understanding shines a brilliant hue.

Bleeding light need not be attended to,

Are we all immune?

Birds on the wall sing.

Someday the music is loud.

And the wall sways still.

But what is broken is ignored in the matter’s mad dance.

Red is blue… white is black….

Can time’s tantrum recognize the pain?

There is no understanding — just realization.

The wall will one day be revealed in a relic’s reality.

Silently… softly… solace smiles.

Sometimes running through the jungle gets tiring. Real is good.

Cynthia
Dali often visits me. Good on you for your Mojo!

When I get reflective I worry. Now I got to call Ms. O' for advice.

sometimes the metaphor is powerful in few words.
That first line struck me so much, I realized I read the rest without seeing the words. Glad I went back through, but still, that first line hits me.
Teetering. That's just how it feels to me.
Been there - and will never go back.
Nice work.

Outside Myself
going back is not an option I will again explore. Thank you for reading and commenting.
but we decide which is real and which is an illusion.

just sorta reminded me on that Moody Blues line.
Beautiful. Love the visual also, saw the exhibit a couple years ago when it came to USA, wonderful. R
Don't say "Whoomp! There it is!" unless it's really there!
May the smile, like the Cheshire cat's, never fade.
I really like this, Chuck. It sends me deep inside myself.
Mesmerizing, Chuck. How do you do it? You leave so much up to your readers to cogitate. Yummy!
Cap'n
there is much wisdom in those lyrics

rita

I have to give credit to my 4 sisters for my ability to be a careful cogitator. : )
I've gotta get up to the Dali museum. It's only about an hour from here and I am a putz. Very nice work here, Chuck.
I hope this makes sense to you.
Sugar magnolia, blossoms blooming
Heads are empty and I don't care
Saw my baby down by the river knew she'd have to come up soon for air.

The Poem was excellent. I had never seen this piece by Dali. A poet, an art consignor and a writer of recipes. Truly a man for all seasons!

Okay, I've read, and re-read, and re-read, and I may be back to read again, just because it . . . it rings.

I'm often overwhelmed at how readers react to my thoughts — words. Your kindness and generosity of sprit always inspires me. Thank you.
"...Red is blue… white is black…."

Even if Dali got this one, you are still the artist my friend.
Simply beautiful.
