Enough Even Flow.... My Jam Ain't Pearl

Rate: 28 Flag

64px-ITunes_LogoI’m trying to remain calm. I’m intensifying iTune therapy hoping to be swayed, shimmied and satisfied. But even in the vertical, the horizontal just doesn’t adjust. I know what’s wrong and right; what goes around comes around, ask Mary Brown — Charlie Brown?  Enough! Enough! Enough! I’m in a metal firecracker. Don't tell anybody the secrets. What secrets? The Gestapo goulash tastes of sugar beets. The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky are also on the two faces of the people going by shaking hands saying, “How do you do?” They're really saying, “Bend over, I’m a screwdriver.” Am I losing you?

What the hell am I suppose to do? I don’t want hear about it, but so many still have to carry the cross. It ain’t as simple as changing your oil. Baby please… we need to learn a new language, you know, sandblast the Rosetta Stone smooth — no rough edges. Toleration! Modification! Fornication!

Some people say the world’s a strange and evil place; all the shadows fall across your face. Fuck them ‘cause others say the sun shines every day, that we should live life come what may… oh please…! Fuck them too. I’m on a turntable going round and round. I just can’t put you down. Call Dr. John. I need a remedy; I need a cure. Stack-A-Lee tell the jailer to adjust my John B. Stetson hat before Bruno gives the rope dance a ten. The disappointed do appoint while anointing the annoyed.

It's strange… so strange… a midnight moon shines through it all in the daylight of self-indulgence. Cue the arpeggio. Blow the harp. Sometimes I get so tense…. Should I shed a tear ‘cause I'm missing you? Well? The storm was wild but you went out and ain't back yet. I bet you're wet and now it's late and life's a great big surprise. It hurts so nice…. Uh huh huh… u’mm u’mm u’mm.

You know if you break my heart I’ll go, but you’ll be back again, ‘cause you once told me goodbye. Can’t you find better things to do? Who knows… not me: the man who sold the world insists that I never lost control. Oh ho, oh! Am I going to do this by myself? If it sounds bad, tell the cinnamon girl. I can be happy for the rest of my life with just her. Yes, I’m a dreamer of pictures, I run in the night naked on an ovaltine high after digesting ovarian oatmeal. Say what? Say again? Huh?

197px-Morphine_stereo_structureNow I gotta know that it's not like before, and I’m not gonna play your games anymore. Do I need to say it again? put it nice? put it right in the wrong? Do I? Way down here in the present, you and me need a reason to relate. It sounds so sweet. It makes it so right. But the Sunday train comes on Friday with no crackers — just Motrin and morphine dripping morphenomenal myopic madness. Indulge if you will, partake of the parfait. Sometimes I wonder. Now I just fold my arms.

So, should I shed a tear ‘cause I’m missing you? Hell no! It’s just one more story all my friends can tell — read… rate. Please don’t fake it, oh never break it ‘cause I just can't take it. Now if you’ll excuse, I’m going California dreamin’; she’s so genuine. But first, I need some Florida sun enclosed in the oblong horizontal with much moxie. I’m fixing a hole… filling the cracks that kept my mind from wandering. And it really doesn't matter if I’m wrong; I’m right where I belong….

There's a fog where many are eating pea soup. Please don't be long... oh please don't be long.
So its morphine is it? No really, again with the wild ride of words and imagery, so original. One of a kind, in a wonderful way. r
This is like Campbell's Classic Rock Alphabet Soup!

Love you Chuck.
wonderful stuff, just knockin' him dead, chuck. I liked the pearl jam business in the title...once upon a time I actually wrote a book called "Grunge Sucked and other Observations from the '90s" (it dealt with the ole pearl jam and other wildly varying alt. things) but alas it has been long lost, probably for the best.

my stones are a rollin' today.

Duaneart
I tip my John B. to you.

Jesse
writing while the tunes are processing keep time from drifting. What is lost is eventually found again.
Man, you can write. I believe you, like me, were influence a lot by the Beatles. I mean you, I, and a billion more. Because it really doesn't matter if you're wrong or right, does it?
So original chuck, I rocked along with your words. Thank you.

The Beatles found me early in life. I've never closed my eyes since.

Kate
without music, how can one really write... it's kind of like impossible for me. Thank you for reading the music.
Quite the roller-coaster ride!
AtHomePilgrim
I'm filling up the Zeppeline for a 3 hour tour.
I wonder if this is what would happen if I listened to iTunes while writing. My brain is incapable of that, I'm pretty sure.
Sarah
try it... I bet it'll surprise you. It did to this American Woman I know, it'd messed her mind.
What is this iTunes thing you speak of? Is it anything like my transistor radio I hold to my ear? I have so lost a century somewhere.

Rated.
"He knows where we're goin' and where we've been
How the fog is getting thicker where the future should begin"

For Chuck, our resident visionary.
Torman
I know of iTunes from my kids and my Mac. But I bet that transistor radio has many stories vibing on the copper line.

Let me tune up my banjo and strum some ethereal song for Harry before Pete jumps in the taxi.
Chuck,
In honor of you, I turned on my iPod, hit shuffle, and here's what came up:

oily marks appear on walls
where pleasure moments hung before the takeover,
the sweeping insensitivity of this still life
Well I'll be switched. You must be the only other Chapin fan on here. And it's not like that song is off his most popular album, either. I am even MORE happy I follow your posts.

That does it. The old six-string (and maybe the 12, if I can stand the blisters) is coming out tonight. Once my belly's stilled, of course.
Lorraine
a perplexing pentatonic puzzle for sure. Tell your students to hit shuffle and dance with the modifiers and participles left dangling. M'mm what'cha say?
Lee
I performed much Harry in the coffee houses. Now tune-up and start strumming. : )
Mmmm that it's all for the best?
of course it is
Lorraine
Well, I might as well a go back over yonder, way back up on the hill,
That 's something to do .... 'cause down in Opelousas, dogs are at the gate, and they're mean, lord, they're mean.... : )
Should I shed a tear ‘cause I'm missing you? Well? The storm was wild but you went out and ain't back yet.

Some sunlight in my day....... I enjoyed this.

Take a break for a while
Take a rest, do your very best
Take five, honey
Five, honey

Do-do-you-do, n'-do-do-you-do

I love your new photo Chuck!
I don't know what we would do without you
Always have the right word for everyone
I like this post!
this rocks me on the water. or rocks my walrus maybe. ++
Kathy K

femme forte
I haven't seen the worst of it yet
I wanna know, can you'll tell me?
I love to stay
You are just shaking my nerves and a rattling my brain my friend.
Just go stuff that bill in your shirt and sign up for that magical mystery tour one more time cause you are flying!
Roger
yes...the great balls of fire are burning bright tonight. Thank you my friend.
Even flow, even so, down the road here he come; Mr. Jones. Every fucking day; he ain't going nowhere. Don't let him catch you on Heart Attack and Vine though.

Great fun Chuck

Even though in the even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies.
Oh, he don't know so he chases them away. But who is he? He doesn't even know.

Filling the cracks that ran through your door again mon? I believe you may just be mother natures son...RRR
Patrick
Well... I wasn't born a poor young country boy, but don't Mother Nature. : )
Darlene

Remember the word for today is Dorian. Thank you for the visit.
very hip......reminds me of one of my fave word wranglers, ken nordine...yeah, word jazz, that's it...
This is like Campbell's Classic Rock Alphabet Soup! Indeed!
...and the music plays on...
mistercomedy
Nordine? That is a compliment I'll gladly take. Thank you.

Pete
When I writing the music, the muse mutates in a wonderful experience. You are a fantastic artist. I know you understand.
Chuck, You have a style all your own. Some of us write words whereas you write pictures.
Michael Rodgers
It's the music. Without it I'm lost. Thank you.
Very original, unique, and compelling. Every time I read a piece by you I come away with a slightly new perspective. You have a great "voice." Rated.
"I’m on a turntable going round and round."

This is the secret why people live to be a hundred. Beautiful play on life, Chuck. Now, on a lighter note (you sound you need a laugh): Do chicks still fall for that stuff?

Rated.
My head hurts.....in a good sort of way. Mr. Chucks wild ride!
Roger F.
If you find a new perspective in my writing, then I consider that the ultimate compliment. Thank you.

Toth
If I live to be a 100, imagine the music I'll hear. And yes, the chicks and I do have a "what's going on thing" happening. I love them all!

Lunchlady 2
thank you for again taking the trip.

Outside the wind seemed to come in all directions, strongly like an idyllic equinox. Then the first wave hit dousing the electrical system. The bow lights obliterated. Like a sailor.
He watched the dark water balance before dreaming of Brenda.
You're on quite a rhythm and rhyme roll. Keep on jammin'.

Once Stevie Ray Vaughan Said to me, "Say what?" in Stratocaster heavy gauge. Man what a ticket to ride.

Some. doctor doctor gave me the news. I got a bad case of the musing muse.
For a minte there I thought it was Monday again...

I always enjoy getting lost in your stream of consciousness.

at times, Monday is Friday — especially on Saturday. : )
