Bio
I'm a 40-something therapist living in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I'm also the chief critter-wrangler in a household that currently includes Abby the Border Collie, Collin the Aussie, Chance the Persian, Lizzie the Tortie, Mouse the Manx mix, and Jeffrey the husband. >^..^< I've been described as a bleeding heart liberal hippie do-gooder. Probably a pretty accurate description. :)

For Verbal Remedy--Here's Mine

Rate: 9 Flag

Well. I really don't like this page. First, the user interface sucks. Second, they have hardly any clothing that you can actually try on 3-D, and most of it is Land's End, which is SO not my style. It also wouldn't let me do anything funky, like a dress over jeans (a fairly normal outfit for me). So this is the closest I could come to my normal hippie-goth look. And my hair is longer, about to the middle of my back, and a little blonder. And my top is bigger, and my bottom is a bit smaller. You're right, Verbal, they need more options. :P

But other than all that--yeah, it pretty much looks like me. ::cringe::

Oh, I am so with you on the not-Lands-End kind of wardrobe!!! This is great. I love the choice of setting, too.

More options, MVM. LOTS more.
You are so right about the selection, but you did good. Love the shades of gray---which happens to be my new favorite color---maybe not so new.
you did a great job!!!! i love this whole thing. wish i had mad skills like you all do. love lvoe lvoe
Could you actually control the backdrop? I would do this, but I'm certain my crappy computer would burn out trying it. Besides, I'm sure my image would resemble some cross between Brad Pitt, George Cluny, Adam Beach, and Johnny Depp (which I include just for my wife's sake).
Thanks y'all! It took me about an hour to come up with something I considered tolerable. It ain't easy, being a cool hippie chick. ;)

Jane, it is kinda fun. I'm tempted to go back and do a "me" from back in the day when I was a skinny, sexy little goth thang.

Verbal, this was a fun little exercise. I'd been registered on there before too but just never went back to it, because of the lack of wardrobe choice. Modernize, people, modernize!

m. a.h., thank you! As far as I'm concerned, you can't go too wrong as long as you stick to greys and blacks.

Thanks, Theo. It's not so much mad skills as sheer stubborn tenacity. :)

Noah, yes, you can control the background. None of them really "spoke" to me until I saw the library, I just had to use that one. You are a good husband, if you're willing to throw some Johnny Depp in there just for your wife. :)
Love the back shot of the hair. Great cut and shape!
Thank you, Somyr and Cathy! I showed it to the DH, he said it does indeed look like me, especially from the back (the face doesn't look like me at all, which is really distracting on the front view)--but that I'm not that big.

Bless his li'l ol' heart. If I wasn't deathly ill I would go reward him for that right now. :D
It may sort of resemble you, but it definitely does not capture You. They definitely need more clothing options because while I actually kinda dig that outfit, I imagine you in something more, what?, exotic? Free-flowing? Something that better conveys your free spirit, is what I'm trying to say.
Susan, you've got it pegged. I'd be wearing Birkies or Cons, have a longer, flowing crinkle skirt, something funky and long-sleeved, and an almost-floor-length sweater vest or cape. I do tend to go for flow-ey, comfy, funky. I do not dress my age. :D

And thank you!
Hey - that's actually a cool outfit! And the haircut is great - is there an online salon with robotic stylists that will cut my hair like that, and with whom I don't have to carry on an inane conversation??

Good job here - impressed with your computer skills! Giving the men a run for their money...
Thank you, dickens! That haircut is actually a pretty good approximation of mine, mine's just a little longer.
