 Days blend into night

Nights are back to days

My life is now this cycle

Everything around me is different

You’re gone and I feel hollow

My heart is broken yet I feel nothing

The sorrow is a like a shroud

Tightly wrapped around me

I can’t breathe, I can’t move

I want you back a little while longer

There are so many things I want to say

Even things I want to take back

I’d gladly give anything to hear you once more

To hear your infectious laughter

To bask in the radiance of your smile

I’d want to say I’m sorry

For the times I was a shit

To say I love you one more time

Mother was always busy, always working, always on the move
her days were full, her spirit radiant and strong
by her hand things always got done
if she heard of need she was ready to address it
she was efficient her energy endless

Mother’s heart huge and kind, her spirit radiant and strong,
every day of her life, found her eager and willing
to sing to dance to take life head on
she was a pleasure to be around, smiles and laughter abound

Mother’s favorite things, were being of service
to her family, to her friends,  to her community
she had a smile, words of wisdom and a gentle touch
for every one, she only saw the best in people

Mother enjoyed a full life however I wish we had more days together
she always said what she meant and meant what she said
always acting with kindness, love the root of all she did
her heart was brilliant like the sun, her mind sharp as a tack

Mother was fair and nonjudgmental in all she said and did

she was wise to the core

her good deeds alive in her community

thank you for all you gave and did

you will not be forgotten

Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. What a great tribute you have written. What I wouldn't give to have my children say those things about me. I know it must be so hard - I have not yet lost my mother - may you grieve and then grow. Sending you my love and a great big hug.
Deepest condolences to you. Your mom sounds like a wonderful person and mother. May you find peace and know joy soon.

I'm so sorry for your loss. To have an incredible mom is a rare and blessed thing, so I'm glad for you to have had her. I can see her love in your kindness.

Again, my deepest sympathy for losing her.
She must have been so full of love, a person we need here to make up for all those that don't understand what service is.
What a beautiful and heartfelt tribute.
I can see this being read and the listeners having tears in their eyes.

Your mother was a beautiful woman and sounds like a kind spirit. And sounds like you appreciated her for who she was. I'm sorry for your loss. I know how it feels having lost my own mother 7 years ago now. Take heart in the good memories. They will prove invaluable; I'm sure they already are.
Thank you for your kind words and condolences they are appreciated.
I apologize for the bulk reply at the moment words are in short supply.
