In the predawn light

silence a gift

simply offered

Beauty in abundance

the path coils deeper

among the green

The breeze stirs

while the ferns

quietly sway

When I read this, I am reminded of when I was a kid on the farm and was able to take long, leisurely walks through the cedar swamp and then hardwood forest that lay beyond the pastures and hayfields and cornfields. Those of us who have been blessed with the grace of being able to do that have much for which to be thankful.
Ooo Ooo Ooo - What is on the other side of the ferns? Excellent, rated with a Jali smile of course. :-)
Between the picture and the words, I can actually feel the breeze that is swaying those ferns. Beautiful.
I adore ferns in a woodsy setting. Such gentle pictures you offer. r
Ferns....those amazing plants with the buttery scent and the waggling leaves. Lovely, lovely poem, MCS. Rated with admiration.
M. C. S.,

Such a light touch...like the ferns in a breeze. Beautiful!
