Winding flexible hose

sprinkles water gently

making the peonies shiver

 

The peonies mesmerizing

palest pink ruffled edges

need to cup one in the hands

 

Thought of cutting the peonies

floating them in a crystal bowl

unable to mar their beauty

Oh my goodness....this poem just sings to me. So well-written. I just yesterday cut a bunch of pink peonies that were on the verge of sagging into the soil. It was time to return them to their glory. The whole dining room smells like a flower shop. You words and image have made my day. R
