(my grandson Wyeth. What does this world have in store for him?)
Out of the necessity for survival and a feeling of self-worth and purpose we have seen a rising of individuals and groups in the warehouse auction, community market, flea market and trash picker business. This is a truly grass roots movement of the people saying to our government and our country that the old ways don’t work anymore.
We are tired of being left behind while the elite few take all the spoils and leave the rest with nothing. We will instead as a gathering of people sustain a lifestyle that works for us, all of us. We no longer need the government, the corporations, the lies and the disease and destruction.
An individual finds another individual that has a need and he or she finds something to satisfy that need and he or she also finds a way of delivering that product and making a profit and not relying on any established organization for this to take place. Both parties are happy in the end and there has been the exchange of commerce and life continues.
We grow hay here in Ohio and they need hay for their horses in Florida, so, we load up trucks with hay in Ohio and we deliver that hay to the horse farmers in Florida and we make a living doing this. We don’t’ need trucking companies or corporations for this to happen, we do this independently and we find a satisfaction and success from it.
The success of the flea market and the large auction warehouse internet sites and community markets are based on the same principles. I am able to find at one location in the country items that I can purchase for a relatively cheap price and take back to my home town and sell them at a profit just as I also find things in other areas that I know I am paying a little higher price for because they are able to offer them and I do this happily. It’s a complete give and take enterprise and everyone is happy at the end of the day.
We are not recycling our new toys, we are instead recycling our necessities over and over again and we are building styles around the items that are being sold.
Technology is a distraction and there is no real need to save it. You use it and you have immediate access to it infinitely so there is really nothing to hold on to and keep. We find that satisfaction of sharing, owning and giving through the simplest of items and they become wonderful things of value.
The most important aspect of this entire process is that it’s an instinctual reaction to the negative effects that our government and world is putting onto us as individuals and communities.
The elite, rich and powerful are becoming militant in keeping themselves rich and powerful and the governments are finding themselves more and more prisoners to this insanity of wealth and power so the normal Jane and Joe has to find other ways of continuing a life that is healthy, happy and fulfilling and we do that by becoming more grass roots oriented in our ways and ignoring the governments and corporations. Let them play their games while we live life.
Of course the governments and corporations are starting to notice that we don’t care what they do anymore so they are beginning to get angry and are trying to flex their muscles in as many ways as they can but they are all finding out that we do not go down easily. We have built an independent form of community that is stable and strong and we are powerful in our numbers and the ironic beauty of it all is that we didn’t even know that was what we were doing. We just got tired of living such hard lives and decided to take things into our own hands individually and this individual action turned into groups and communities and now we are beginning to see that all the money in the world is not as powerful as the spirit of the people are.
As this continues we must stay aware of the pressures that our government will put on us and how they will try to get us back into the mindset of the corporation but we must be strong and obey their requests within reason but, also know that if push comes to shove we will be the victors.
Have you ever wondered why the United States keeps getting into wars that they cannot win? It’s simple really, because we are not fighting for the right reasons. We are not fighting to save our lives, our way of life or our very souls. We are fighting to satisfy our greed and our insatiable need for power and control.
Our country and government has become tired of losing wars to foreign countries so they have decided to wage war on their own citizens by taking away their rights of freedom and their rights of free expression. We have become a prison state ruled by the new big brother but what they did not plan on was that we would not go down easy, we would fight back and fight back in numbers and be joined by those brave souls in government that would say, “No”.
As a nation we have committed terrible atrocities in the name of God and government but as a people, as a gathering of people from all walks of life, from every corner of the globe we are a gathering of souls that have a common goal and we are finally finding that purpose and all I can say is it’s about damn time.

Streetfighting 101 teaches that you never back the opponent into the corner. Big Brother was too arrogant to take the class.
I hope it doesn't come down to that.
I have a new nephew, ben, who is only five months old....maybe a future friend for wyeth....
congrats.
brilliant piece, Mical, a lot to think about

It's good to find your way back to community and realize the power in it.
(Very cute nephew too.)
Do you remember a couple of decades ago when Iowa farmers got into some sort of natural disaster - I can't remember the details - and farmers in North Carolina brought them relief. Just gave it to them. A year or two later Iowa got to return the favor.
It's all about working together.
My fear is that the large corporations and the greedy people who run them will find ways to force us to play by their rules in the way they have done with genetically engineered organisms. Their interest isn't in finding a cure for cancer, or a crop that will use less natural resource and feed more people. They just want to patent a gene that makes your seed belong to them so that you have pay them for your seed or destroy it and buy more.
As petroleum becomes increasingly scarce and expensive there will be more collective trading of goods and services on a local basis. You may not be able to carry your hay to Florida, but other opportunities will open up.
I saw the other day that even the church - the one in Rome - has called GMO a form of slavery. R
if the holy spirit is gonna give u the energy to write it.
this is very inspiring (what holy spirit does!):

me too.
i am gonna go into the enemy camp and steal all their
precious abstractions like god and god's will
and holy and holy spirit and whatnot.
i am educated in this philospophy and theology
and what not. and i plan to use it to utterly
demolish false modes of thought, with
politeness and wit and intellectual
vigor. That is my new mission.
You are a great help in this,
thus it is incumbent on
you to keep writing.
