Come on in and make yourself comfy. Kick off your shoes. Coffee? Tea? Sit awhile and read… Express your thoughts. Any questions? Feel free to ask for I am a woman of a certain age and I do not fear my secrets. I welcome them for they have led me here, where I pour them out in written word. I'm also a Recovering Catholic, but I very much believe in a Higher Power. Those shoes you see in my banner, I own those shoes... Stuart Weitzman Fever in patent leather red! We used to get out alot more, me and my shoes. So I decided to add them to my blog because, hey, I'm not dead yet!! "... and I guess that's why they call it the blues..."

performance by the peoria procrastinator. : ) (is supper ready yet?)
I have to get the dishes out of the sink first.... might be a late dinner...
What lovely photos! Peace.
Hoping your heart continues to heal sweet girl. Beautiful pictures.
gorgeous photos!! shouldn't chuck cook dinner sometimes too? love love love
Beautiful. I need to go look at some flowers and fountains.
beautiful. I couldn't stop looking at the last one.
Wow. More and more questions ...
and those photos felt like Easter ..
no depression, dismay, smeared
red lipstick on a collar, weeping
and you and Mr. Mustard boxing
none had to absorb nasty dejection
uppercut sucker punches. smooches.
A Kodak's 60- minute instant camera?
You show folk how to cut & paste too?
The fourth one has an 'out of this world' quality about it. It is beauiful. Thank you for posting.

peece and love bombs,
Nature & architecture are my favorite types of photographs. There are marvelous.

Sounds like a pizza kind of night!
Sending a ((((hug)))) for the blues.
The pics are so sweet. I thank you for them.
Theo, that is why I love you! You are a woman after my own heart!

Again, thank you all! I am definitely in a different place than when I wrote my previous post. Kids are coming in from everywhere. It helps. Plus, strange as it is, she was after all my "ex" MIL, so I am viewing all of this from the outside in it seems.

I think I will order pizza!! Maybe even Pepperoni!
Glad you are able to find beauty during your blue period.

Wishing you starry nights,

( m&m )
Kind of a reminder that we're each occupying just a tiny spot on this earth. Also reminds me of a wonderful children's book, "Who's Garden is it?" Lovely photos.
You have a good eye for structure. I just ordered a new camera (a refurbished with money I don't have) and I can't wait, should be like Tuesday I hope. It's the first thing I've bought for myself in months besides food and shoes. My poor old Olympus finally crapped the bed. Hope things are well for you.
i love you too, sweetheart. i'm so glad that the kids are coming and that you're having pepperoni pizza. both are great for the blues! yes, she was your ex-MIL but she was important to you and that's what matters. your tribute to her was lovely. but, shit, girl, bring on the pizza!!! love love love
If we could all take time out of each day to walk through a garden....
mamoore, so true! I am thinking I need to get down to St. Louis and visit their gardens. One of my favorites was in Garfield Park (Chicago) when Chihuly was there. It was amazing!
The botanical gardens in Grand Rapids are amazing if you are ever on this side of the big lake again.
With pictures like these, it is hard to visualize blue as the color of sadness. Shouldn't it be the color of dreams? Rated.
MAWB-Memories of Glen Oak Botanical Gardens on Prospect, about four blocks from my paternal grandparents' home in the 50's and 60's. I wandered and wondered often...
Take solace in the nature's beauty and the beauty within each loved one.
