Dumbing it Down on Medical Marijuana

Rate: 0 Flag

CNN has a special "Mellowing it out on medical marijuana". Dr. Eric Goth talks about the need to "tease out" the intoxicating effects of marijuana yet Oxycontin and Marinol are more intoxicating and FDA approved. He then goes on to talk about THC levels when Marinol is FDA approved and is 100% THC. Finally he ends with "the FDA needs to approve it", never mentioning that research for decades has been blocked by the DEA and the federal government's crazy Schedule 1 for marijuana. With the government's war on marijuana still waging, Goth knows that the FDA approval would likely take another 1000 years. How can he say all of this when he knows that the FDA that he pitches for has approved stronger derivatives from the weaker leaf? He's ok with that but then he wants the weaker leaf off the market? Wow. When the lies are so out in your face it's not even funny. Just stupid. "Is CNN, mellowing out or just dumbing it down?"

CNN is a business just like the pharma industry. Money talks more in this country than people's needs.
Actually the FDA is testing marijuana and Marinol, the more expensive fake drug right now, for a variety of neurological symptoms, which makes Obama look even more stupid for his opposition to legalizing the drug and his continued allowance for the DEA drug raids in California. As for me, I am ON marinol, thanks to my doctors allowing me to take it based on the Doctor in Canada's FDA sponsored trial saying she would allow me to participate if I lived in Toronto.

And it's working.

So, we will get there eventually. We just need to keep kicking ass.

And for more information, check out the clinical trials websites out there. Marinol by the way is also called Drobinal. It's not as good as the real thing, and far more expensive and of course, thanks to the government, extremely expensive thanks to the government created monopoly of only one company who makes the brand name drug.

It could be a source of badly needed jobs and cheap medication for some of the hardest neurological conditions to treat, but as usual, the vested interests in the White House and Congress don't want that. Because then THE PEOPLE will be in charge. Not the corrupt drug corporations who buy off Democracy.

Keep that in mind as you kick Obama's ass and send an email to both the White House and your elected representatives.
