I took this with my iPhone today while walking to the bus stop after work:

And this while walking back to work after lunch. A while back I took another photo of this building. I really like the textures and colors.

I can't even remember where I took this:

Waiting for breakfast a couple of weeks ago with my old friend John. I can't remember if the coffee was mine or his. Taken at Central Cafe in Salem, Oregon. We had a wonderful discussion. John is great to talk to, wise, kind, and profound, often in the same sentence.

the first one is quite magical.....
All of these photos are edited, mostly with the addition of some contrast and cropping. Cell phone photos typically need some editing because frankly, the camera isn't all that good or flexible. So the manipulations of the images that would normally take place in the camera have to take place outside of the camera.
As I've mentioned before, all of my cell phone photos are manipulated no more than what can be done in the Mac "Preview" application, that is pretty basic. If you're interested I have a whole post that discusses that:

I think what makes the difference with your photos is that you have an eye. You can look at something and see the photo there.
rated and loved and still don't know how you do this with a cell phone!!!
Yes, I do. I charge exactly the amount that other Open Salon participants charge for their blog posts!
Really, the thought of having to print this stuff and cut mats for it, etc., is depressing to me. And I know absolutely nothing about how to sell photos or what to charge for them. So no, I actually have never sold any photos. If the economy gets bad enough I may reconsider!
That first one is such a cool juxtaposition of images and colors, by the way.
You have a quite a great eye with a cell phone. I can only imagine with a great camera.
RATED!!
Randolph, replying... :-)
