Cell Phone Photos: Portland Trip

Rate: 15 Flag

The weather was kind of nasty today, so I skipped work and took the "Max," the local commuter train, into Portland, Oregon.  Here's a few cell phone photos:

From the window of the Max train, just west of the Gateway Transit Center:

Also at Pioneer Place:

Finally, a trip to Powell's Book Store.  Not much of a photo, but just to make non-Oregonians jealous:

Mishima, you've got a hell of a good eye for composition. I remember some of you pics from another post. You've got skills. Hard to believe there from a phone.
always good to see another entry in this meme. really dig the one with the escalator.
Nice. I also really like the escalator shot--great composition in the contrasting angles. It reminds me of some work in what I think was called abstract expressionism, paintings of the 1920s and 1930s.
A nice addition to the series.
mishima666, the second photo is very reminiscent of the look of the Javitts Center in Manhattan. The escalator shot has some great angles and colors interacting within it. Amazing what great shots you can get with a cell phone!
Fabulous pix - what kind of celly do you have?
beautiful brother...I keep meaning to try my hand with some iPhone compositions, but I'm a bit intimidated with your prowess (after calling myself a photographer). I'll keep working on it.

(sent you an OSmail Mishima)
Love the atmosphere in the first photo. The clouds look like they are touching the tree-covered hill..........
Awesome as usual. And I am jealous of Powell's.
Good looking compositions, but I don't have to tell you which is my favorite.
Powells! You git! I went there last year with my wife and my parents when she was showing us around her beloved Oregon, and I loved Powells. Enough books to gladden even my heart (I prefer Foyles in London) and a great cup of coffee as well. Rated.
