iPhone Photos from the Pearl

Rate: 13 Flag

All of these photos were taken with an iPhone.  Most of them were taken in the Pearl District of Portland, Oregon.

Building.  Using editing software on the iPhone I replaced the background.

Bar Entrance.  This is from the entry way of a sports bar in the Pearl District.

Empty office space.  In the window you can see a faint image of me taking the photo.  So it is also a ghostly "self-portrait."

Tree and Street.  A friend told me that I inadvertently captured a metaphor of the Holy Trinity.  I get his point, but that's not why I took the photo. Outside the Bridgeport Pub.

Water Feature.  This is located outside of the Office Max store in the Pearl District.

Rest Area.  Not in the Pearl, but on I-5 going to Portland.  Not a great photo, but I like the shapes.

Cute Pet Photo.  Sorry, I couldn't resist.  This is Sydney, World's Sweetest Shih Tzu, and my close friend.

Gorgeous - especially the water feature.
I like the rest area on I-5.
Love these and Shih Tzu's are some of the best pups . . .that face is love in the flesh!

Great photos, you have a real eye for that.
Wow, those are pretty vivid for what I'd expect from a phone. First two are almost cartoonish in their crispness, but not in a bad way.
Ghost image—well, perhaps you have a future in finding ghosts for people. I saw show on TV yesterday that didn't offer evidence of the ghost world half as convincing as what you accidentally offered here. Holy Trinity goes to the pub.. hmm, interesting concept. I like the water feature—something like a flower or an opened fruit quality. Nicely abstract. Would have gone well in a caption contest. I agree with you about the colors and shapes of the rest area. And I was going to guess a lhasa, but I see not. Cute nevertheless. Thanks for the interesting array of photos from a surprising source. iApprove.
I always love to see these. Some are really great!
I like the building with the new background. It's a great mix of real and surreal.
The building photo was actually taken in the daytime, but the night background sort of confuses the eye, and makes it appear that the building is on a different planet without an atmosphere.
It's the eye, not the phone.
Wonderful photos. Makes me long to be in that area to take my own photos.
Iphone that's like digital - I still have to have my pictures sent to the developer. Don't get me wrong my phone takes pictures I just don't know how to get them out of the phone. Mailing film to the lab. That I know. On my old phone the wallpaper was a picture of the capital I took when I went to meet the senior policy advisor for my congressman. I felt like Mr. Smith that day.
How do you get the images so clear and I know nothing of this editing feature...I take a lot of pictures on my iphone, and they're impressive for a phone camera, but not this good.
You have a terrific eye. I went back to look at some of your older posts. I love the fact that these are all done with an iphone. Tell Apple! Maybe they'll buy your idea and photos!
