I haven't posted any iPhone photos in a while. These are all photos of an old wall near where I work. All of the editing was done with software on the iPhone. I didn't see any good opportunities for composition, so I concentrated on bringing out contrast and texture.

The texture and contrast is certainly nice in these, but for my money, the composition is actually what makes them work. There's lots of movement, nice use of asymmetry, disparate elements which work together to keep your eye engaged, all that good compositonal stuff, without the pesky distraction of obviously recognizable elements.
I see a compostion that is interesting nonetheless, and textures that are beautiful. Good job!
I see what you mean. I meant that there weren't any strong compositional elements around. To the extent there is composition it's from more subtle areas of texture and contrast. I hadn't thought of it until you mentioned it, but there is some motion happening, and various things for the eye to land on.
