We went hiking yesterday.... I don't like to hike but did it for him. I'm glad I realized I did it for me.
Of course he chose the harder trail. It really wasn't that challening and it was beautiful. Towards the top of the little mini-mountain a father led his son down the steep rocks... we steped aside so they could come down. The boy's was about 13 or so, holding a stick as a guide clinging to his father's hand taking unsteady steps downward.
The boy said he was afraid.. the father said... who's in charge of your fears? The boy said I am and he went on.
I noticed the boy was blind..yet he could see.
We made it to the top of the mini-mountain and I sat looking out over the distance. I gave my fear a big hug.
