long history of rough transitions and hoeing the long row... still pretty weedy, though! Perfected the "lightning-struck-stump," the "not-so-perfect rose" and the "down-the-drain we go!" line of fashions for the fabulously well-used and sumptuously seasoned... have learned much about the care and keeping of jeweled space-rocks and the who's abiding, clinging there... ;-)

Rats, Mary, I posted a really great comment about Sun Pillar but it didn't post.
I can't help but see what look like signs from God. Terrible yet beautiful warnings of what is to come. I think God is trying to get our attention as a people, a race, a society. We have failed time and time again and though we seem to have learned the lessons, we keep pushing the envelope. We are islands and we have shells. We need to love and be loved. We need to visit and be visited. Aloneness can help us realize we are loved and we love. But I'm afraid most will be alone having decided not to reach out as God decides it's time to end. As a father what do you do with a son who destroys again and again, a son who seems to have learned every lesson but really hasn't? We need each other very much. We need to love. When somebody needs love do you stand on your head? Or say something funny? Or spend some money? We can read about God's signs. He loves us and we can feel it. I am reminded.
