Bio
A lot has gone in the past 2 or so years since I last updated my bio; I have since had the fortune of having another grandchild from the same daughter so I now have a almost 2 year old grandson and then I have my five month old little munchkin. He is adorable like his big bro as I call him, akin to the family dynmaic. They are both the light and sparkel of my life, my other daughter is working and is happily married. My second son and his wife are working and on it...what it is I am not exactly sure. My oldest son turned 31 and his fiance are happy she works and attends school along with her 3 beautiful children, all is well. I am a couple of credits shy from my Bachelor's Degree and am excited. I have virtually waited a lifetime to get to this point. A slight delay in the airwaves you might say? It's okay we are where we need to be, when we need to be there in the physical, mental and emotional all in one piece, one place at a time.

In Light and Darkness of Adam Lanza

In light of what has occured this past Friday it has been staggering to think of the loss of life, and yet the surreal picture that existed in this town in Conneticut. It was just a regular day but something stood still the moment the woman at th… Read full post »

In Light and Darkness of Adam Lanaza

There are somethings that never change, except change itself as I recall some conservative ideals that were well part of the early 1960's of my childhood. I was born to a single Italian  mother, who was quite fair and complex red in most of my early memories of her, upon… Read full post »

What Makes Us Different?

Have you ever woken up and wondered how certain people have an ability, ambition, situation that you know nothing about but are somehow connected? I was watching CNN early this morning, being with the impending storm coming I know there is a lot of information. Yes, I l… Read full post »

Yesterday I was feeling overwhelmed by so many things that have gone in this past week, I just needed rest time on the couch. I stood with my face down towards the smell of leather, and the ever so slight scent of dog urine as I have written before I… Read full post »

Where Is the Middle?

It seems if there is one thing to justify where the middle is it is in defining what are the extremes. With that being said, there seems to be still real conversation about what to do about some of the extremes that are being presented, take for instance a discuss… Read full post »

When Does the New Begin?

Do we ever find a quiet moment to think anymore? I was going out for an after dinner walk last night, I was almost going to turn around to get my cell phone. I thought about and decided to keep walking, and just take in the soft night air, thinking… Read full post »

Make room feminist, because your living room is going to be littered with people who need to work, but unfortunately like your younger battery powered exe's and those who can spell endurance and make you look like a version that was is on the fast press from China models… Read full post »

Yohoo OSers

Hey OSer's I know I can't be the only one who has went to type some great article for OS only to go to the save draft button, that is when I am smart. Because I know I have experienced the  "past time" instance where I have went to "Publish"… Read full post »

There are many types of people that can make many narsistic comments that are usually lame. In the case of Ravi it would be his actions that would allow me to not see past his own ignorance. He wouldn't get the sense of embarrasment, but then from Tyler Clementi's point… Read full post »

This is me serving up the pancakes Happy Sunday morning everyone.         Okay, I must admit I have kind of had it with every extradinary attempt at normalizing the housewife argument. I don't think it will ever be okay to just be a housewife, that is the plain side of it. The mediocre side says different, the m… Read full post »

Evoking Anger

I am sure that this will not be the first argument in regard to Ann Mittney's "I stood at home and raised five children" comment. I am sure that social psychologist are able to make some pretty heady arguments on the behal… Read full post »

He Once Looked At Me

What was it about the English heart throb that would make most any girl anxious and want to pant when she saw Davy Jones? His vibrant eyes would be my first guess, he had such a sense of anticipation and was born with quite an ability to look into the… Read full post »

Good for Arnold Diaz (Fox 5 News)

There are too many tell tale signs that continue to keep pointing the finger at how bad we have become at being American. Being American these days is like saying, "I accept anything, and everything." It seems that if you walk into a doctors office, and over charges it's not… Read full post »

Remembering Whitney Houston

(This the third attempt to write this memorial this morning) I don't know why Open Salon is having these technological issues, but I wish they would be reparied. I had to sign in again was the main reason my previous post did not post.

There seems to be pervasive belief that social work is a great field to enter, despite the many stories that a social worker can encounter. There are still the "other" ones that are truly not what a family needs. But that is all beyond the sense of "wh… Read full post »

New Wage Blasted

It is still a mediocre world out there as long as people have to sludge through what is a meeting of the mind and survival. In the corporporate world where most things corporations produce are spun into gold and resold for profit the picture works. But for those that are… Read full post »

What Now?

Accesorizing it all togehter is like getting a sixty piece orchestra together to play a concert that a famous conductor would be proud of. Angry Daughters

What is about being young and helpless that files into the lives of everday women? It is a site for sore eyes, and individuals affected by the sense of a woman that is angry is practically scorned for life. I should know, my mother was angry, not that… Read full post »
