There is something strange up in the air, what could it be a flying saucer, a hot-air ballon, a weather instrument gone awry? Answer all 3, what has happened here was in fact a hoax of extreme porportion. In order to follow the chain of events that followed, one would need a televison, a brain, and remote control. The reporters were not able to understand, what exactly was happening, except this ballon thing was curious, and that it would indeed "need to know" what was happeing. It was reported that there was a 6 year old child in the ballon, now that is important.

The life of a child is precious, and no mistake, as most viewers belived there was a child on board. The ballon at times was traveling at well several thousand feet above earth. That is tremendously high, it could have been struck by a plane, or other object while up there. But fortunately it didn't, as the situation unfolded, the sheriff was over the Henne's house, where the situation unfolded. Supposedly the ballon became untethered some how, as this must have been written into the script, that a very unscripted family were following.

Complete by there youngest son, "Falcon" going to hide up in the attic, until told by his brothers to come out. Falcon did as told, the ballon went up, and all else has been anything but normal. The Henne family is no stranger to reality t.v. The father was on "Wife Swap" 2 times, and was a known storm chaser. The latter he did often with his sons, that part is not necessairly the worse offense, but for the principle of the argument, and principle is always correct, the kids belong in school, unless there is some other problem, in ex. child becomes ill at school, has a doctors appointment.

In this instance, the children have been out of school at every opportunity that knocks, or when ever theres some storm coming that needs to be chased, (for what) who only knows. But for the fascination, it is pretty incredible, thankfully no one has lost their lives as far as I am aware of. But that dosen't mean, that it can't happen, this still falls under a little known jolt of todays new form of fascination, called "extreme". But that is what some people desire, do these people have a platform to say, "it's my life" now come and view my dare devil antics, if I live fine, "I've just cheated death"? Is it funny to watch someone jump over sharks in a tank? Is it fun to swim with the sharks?

The father in question of the Henne family was a way ward scientist at best, who was able to figure out some things in dealing with weather, and other odd inventions that who knows could at one time or another be usefull in some capacity. But no one was quite interested in giving him a show of his own, so in poped this confabulation of a story, prime for some reality t.v. The problem in probing reality t.v. is that there is a target, a target audience, that is invariably interested in the topic.

Take the first family of reality t.v. yours truly of recent ruination, "Ron and Kate Plus 8". The family was lucky enough to get the break, that the producers at TLC saw an opportunity to "help" the family in question. I have quotes around the word, not to show belonging to, emphasise help. The family now had 8 people to clothe, and feed, and help to thrive, not to mention any irregular matters that might have affected the children. It is not easy to mention here that the show was a God send to them. As the show continued to air, it became apparent that the show put a strain on the family as well. Even though the filmers, productions studio's and all the phrasing, was worked in to the show, there was no way to over look the day to day strain, back biting, tid-bits,  stares, and much of nothing that was being viewed.

The best thing about the show was the kids, which is why you were supposed to turn on Ron and Kate anyway. The kids made the show, how often would you see 6 kids all the same age being raised on a televion show? Well, we don't know what the odds are for that last question, due to the costs to run and produce a show, it can't be that good. Reality t.v. comes under scrutuiny all the time. Some of the shows bring forth a dose of reality that many would rather not see, nor give a platform for. Does everything need to be known? No, but for some the platform brings fame, that is something that many want, and are willing to do some pretty dumb things to concuquer the mountain of stupidity.

The last one the Henne family put together got them into some pretty hot water with the law. I recently wrote on my facebook page, that I didn't belive this was a hoax, as of Saturday morning. I had spoke to a few people about the story, and was given responses of "it's a hoax" the family made up the story. I saw the interview on "Larry King Live" when the reporters were questioning Falcon, being he was the child in question. At one point, he himself says, "he thought it was for the show", talk about a oops moment. The kid admitted it himself, that his father told the kids what to do. That was crucial, I even got that jab of consicious that says, it was done for the show.

Reality t.v. in past has not given many viewers anything new to gawk at, since it's inception there has to be at least close to a one hundred shows. Any one who knows a  little bit of this and a little bit of that knows practically anything can be found under these classifications, people in jail, herion addicts, Road Rules, House wives, Made, Tilla Taquilla, Celebrity Rehab, Biggest Loser, The Girls Next Door, Toddlers in Tiara's, Jack Ass, Wild Boys, there is no end in sight for the mess that these shows supposedly help to clarify nor clean up.

People that are on a television show to display a true to life event that helps to enrich the lives of viewers is not in poor taste. But when shows divulge ugly truths, or show criminal activity, that becomes heinous, and shows a sense of wrong doing on all ends. To provide a outlet for criminal activity is like giving someone with criminal intent the key to further explore what choices or options should be possible. Most of the reason that many of these people are thrilled to be on a reality t.v. show, is they are going to make money.

Some get carried away, and get too comfortable, and forget like anything else it's a job. There is so much money that it earns, and it needs to be budgeted and accounted for. Ron and Kate Plus 8 were doing nicely according to all accounts, they started to roll in the right direction, clothing lines geared with their multi-family unit in mind, endoresements from the people of "Parents Magazine" nothing to snub your nose at, when your trying to keep your good standing for ratings on reality t.v.

Otherwise they risk becoming fodder for the pros, enter news television, with trained people that are pain for their ability to bring you news, for any number of news worthy reasons. Being on television takes a certain amount of calm, professional ability to speak clearly regarding a event, and being able to give a short tension, where one might like to wander. There are no opinions, some might think of conservative values, and that is fine, at least people understand what they are watching.

In a libearl agenda, where anything goes, the sky is the limit, there are unbeliveable news stories, unworthy news stories, and unwanted news stories all vying for any viewer something to either look at and know is wrong, or variation, or something that dosen't need to be exploited futher. Does it matter? well the Henne family will be deciding if what they did to risk being on a reallity t.v. show was worth it. I would like to think that as people we have a ability to think rationally. But as I view the lists of what is classified under "reality" is that there must be a couple of twists and turns in what is viewed under "truth is stranger than fiction".

These people had no reason other than extreme need to be displayed on televison, they are and now will be known for having hostages as children as well as not putting the best interest of their children first. Maybe something will be learned after all.

What matters...really matters...is the fact that these grownups are able and rewarded for putting small children through so much stress and pain. "Jon and Kate", in my opinion, never give much thought to what their actions are doint to their small children. Mr and Mrs. Henne likewise, give little or no thought to the harm they do to their children.
All any of these idiots want is their own, personal, fifteen minutes of fame. It is a sad situation to be sure.
It's one thing when all you have to consider is your own life, but when children are involved it's quite another. And people wonder what's happened to children.

There are so few of those shows I ever watched, because so many of them is just people being mean to people.

Interesting post.
