There are some books that stay with us all of our lives, what is it that invokes the sense that the dire messages are true? Some are horrific messages that are a sense of being cursed by wealth, by ghosts that don't exist except to the mind that experiences them, and yet others are of a godly demise in which the principles set forth are from the furtherest extreme. But rest assured they lead to a denizon of unreason and unresolve for those that must pass through a labrinth of lies, or bequests to come to each and every check-point that must be labeled as brilliant as truth appears to be bespeckled in the sky.
I had read Shakesphere's "Romeo and Juliet" when I was a bleak unpromising student in High School, my first thoughts were of a bleak light that had been cast. The actors and actreeses that came alive to make the story alive were also developing, what were all of the symbols, and statements that were being suggested, I had no clue back then, and I still wonder today. But upon believing what was being stated, it wasn't really so bleak, Romeo and Juliet were driven by seperate and yet intense drives. One of the drives were the parents not liking or accepting the other love interest of Romeo and Juliet.
If you ever want to drive your characters back into passion, tell them they can't be together. It makes two passionate people insatiable, and who resist the naughtyness of the dialouge? The secret exchanges, the deeper reflections of wanting that love, despite all obstacles. What makes a story work is just about as mystifying to the writer as it is to the heros and villians of a novel. I had also read in another college class, which was slightly above my level at that time, was "The Sound and the Fury, Faulkner's brilliant novel of a southern family that seems familiar to me to this day. It took a minute to be able to discern the words, the un parreled sense that people were speaking in backwards way, but still with complete thought at hand, and mastery of some of lifes most simple skills, kept unthrwarted, and unreversed.
The other family that was masterful and well to do, were often akward, ugly, rude, strange and unorthodox, with Caddy, with and the brothers, which were of course opposites, and with one that would want to kill himself, it gave insight into the coregeous people who were willing to accept life for what it was. The people spoke still in a beleagured manner, but their true spirit could be felt on the page, it spoke logistically as a way that the truth in spirit knows it's own depth and knowledge for it's self. People that are often with many things, owe a depth of others existence for every story has it's price, it's share of pain and suffering and dwelling. People live where they dwell, and many would like to not add to their woe by having people identify with who they really are.
Poverty is also highlighted as a means to let more than half of any country at any real time that those peoples story is true. People have no idea how many people live in fear, in darkness, and utter hatred of the people in thier lives, or the people they encounter, both for good and bad. Think about it, on any given day there are strange accounts of people gone missing, people that committ suicide, people that are estranged, people that are not eating properly, people that do not live in balance, and as a result throw themselves into a tailspin, and other people around them become problem. People can be sophiscated, and naive, both of these themes become larger themes in peoples storys. Who do you impress in life and why?
Most people that are down to earth and simple do not look to impress, they are great at being narrow minded, they are humble in spirit and able to not take curiosity on a rousing adventure, except to allow themselves to believe that a spirit is alive. That type of energy has cynergy that is connecting in and of it's own power. Because those people are not looking to better themselves, they are allready perfect in their own being. They are not looking for bigger or better, because many people that have bigger and better are not always happy. Life becomes demanding and degrading, and can also be draining, Keeping it simple sometimes looks easy, but I don't believe that those connected to people understand or know that simple is never simple. It is an exact art form and not duplicated, finding simplicity is like working on embrodiery. The picture looks easy, but when you try to do the stitch work it can be a bit over laping, or the thread over laps, thus changing the picture, every time the land scape changes, it changes for everybody connected. Keep sewing in the patterns that make your life interesting, and look at the work you created. You will be amazed at how transfixing the art work is that comes from with in, there are no amounts of money that can balance on personal achievement.
