Another appearance on Dan Dindrell's radio program, talking about Obama's plans regarding "Indefinite Detention"-- which I am completely in favor of, by the way.
I am not at all uneasy about the idea of keeping people locked up indefinitely after they've already been acquitted of the crimes they've been charged with. To me, it keeps things fresh, adding an element of surprise for all involved.
"Not Guilty." "Hooray, I can be set free now!" "No, you can't." "What? Why not?" "Secret reasons." "Ooh, that's intriguing! How mysterious. I wonder what the reasons are..."
See? In this scenario, the person remaining in "Indefinite Detention" is left to wonder how it all ended up this way. I almost envy him-- his life is just one big thing he never expected to turn out like this.
(Except I don't really envy him, of course. He is locked away, perhaps forever. C'est la vie. But remember, he must be a very, very bad person, or else he wouldn't have been locked up and acquitted in the first place! So, I can now forget about all this unpleasantness and go back to twittering about how Obama looked at that lady's behind. Shame on you, Barack Obama!!)

that song is awesome.
don't you wish the constitution meant something more than aspirational justice?
don't you wish you could do something about it?
well, you can. not you, precisely, because it needs citizen quality people to run a democracy, but if you were more than house trained taxcows, you could.
