Fracking Unholy

It was the perfect June day for a country drive. The air was crisp and cool, with no haze marring the views, and the perfume of wild roses permeated everything. Past the old Cambra store, the barns, the horses, and down the hill to St. Gabriel’s Church.

Triumphant and pathetic all at once, the newly emerged peeps fascinated me. I watched over them carefully, taking them out for fresh air daily when they grew big enough to stand the cooler air and back in again to safety.
