Foodie Tuesday: Pecan Carmel Crescent Swirl

Rate: 7 Flag
Carmel Swirl

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons water
2 8 oz. cans quick crescent rolls

 1.    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2.    Melt butter in saucepan. Coat bottom and sides of round baking pan with 2 teaspoons of the melted butter.; sprinkle pan with 3 tablespoons of the pecans.

3.    Add the remaining pecans, brown sugar and water to butter; heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.

4.    Remove crescents from cans in rolled sections;do not unroll.

5.    Cut each section into 4 slices. Arrange 8 slices in each of 2 pans, separating each pinwheel slightly, to allow sauce to penetrate.

6.    Spoon 1/2 carmel sauce over dough in each pan.

7.    Bake 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown. Cool 3 minutes.

Okay, that's it! First someone posted a recipe for strawberry shortcake made with crescent rolls and now this! Don't you people realize that if it's this easy to make I might make it? Which would be fine, but then I'm probably going to eat it. All by myself. And I'm a whole foods freak. I demand crescent roll hazard warnings on all Foodie Tuesday titles!
OMG!!! Better than Jumer's Rolls!
Where have I been? When did you get a new banner?
Thanks for bringing back Saturday morning memories... my Mom made something like this every Saturday morning - just to get me & my sister out of bed. The smell was just too tempting to sleep in!

This is so wrong on so many easy levels! I avoided this post, but was drawn, like a moth to a flame! Now I shall spend the rest of my day lusting for the caramelly goodness! Rated.

Love your new avatar! New banner posted last week, but I've had entirely "iffy" internet connection in the city, (my sister does not have a router) so for a couple of weeks, I may be unable to post as often.
