A couple of us had a germ of an idea this evening... and I would like to solicit some additional assistance with the "germ of an idea."
We all know that "Tweens" and "Teens" walk out of the house without basic necessities every day and place themselves in situations that could be, if not necessarily "dangerous," certainly stupid. Situations that they would not necessarily get into if they had more experience.
Assume that you have a lightweight metal hinged box with inside dimensions that are 15cm long x 9.5 cm wide x 2.5 cm depth (overall). Inside this container that closes securely but opens easily you need to place all of the things that teens and tweens (and even men and women) routinely forget or need in an emergency but do not necessarily have.
Going into the container for teens so far is the following: needles, phone card, thread, plasters, tweezers, steri spray, couple of comdoms, couple hand wipes, comb, mini pencil/pen and a few sheets of paper
Going into the container for tweens so far is the following: a phone card, plasters, steri wipes, comb, hair bobble, pencil n paper
Going into the container for adults so far is the following: needles, couple dollars/phone card, thread, plasters, tweezers, steri spray, couple of comdoms, couple hand wipes, comb, mini pencil/pen and a few sheets of paper, a couple of emergency smokes and a lighter (hey, I am a smoker... I'm putting a couple of emergency smokes in the one for me)
All of the things listed fill less than half the container, although there is room in the container yet for "just in case" necessities that we women/girls need to tote around with us at times.
So...
Bearing in mind the size of the container in question what would you add to the container?

This is a hell of an idea!
@ AHP: You can get lighters with torches in the end... a slimline flashlight would be good for the teens and tweens though.
@ MrsR: Spare house key, nail file, pen knife, matches, valium.

What are the needles for???? And this old gal doesn't know what a plaster is?
