I have three daughters. They all like to wear pink tutus. I dress mostly in browns and grays. Brown really is my favorite color. My daughters make comments such as, "You're not very fashionable." Or worse, "I'm scared in the dark even when you're here, because you always wear dark colors and I can't see you."
The point of this post is actually nothing more than to introduce myself. I'm too tired for more. Anyway, here it is.
I live in a small-ish town near Seattle. My three girls have never been to school. We un-school. That means we do what we want to do. It's a joyful life. I've written a book about it, Unschooling: A Lifestyle of Learning. You can find it on Amazon and elsewhere. More info at unschoolinglifestyle.com.
I'm also the National Unschooling Examiner for Examiner.com, as well as the Seattle Homeschooling for Beginners Examiner. I contribute regularly to Suite101 and Helium, too.
Intro done. I'm off to bed. More sharing of unconventional ideas later.
