Dicky, these certainly have a wonderful Western color and look to them! I am always interested to see photos from coastal CA and I did drive through Santa Barbara one time in the '80s on a trip I made from SF to San Diego. I noticed as soon as I approached the Santa Barbara area a lot of the green was gone from the landscape as compared with points north like Big Sur.

Is that you on the horse in the first photo? Cute. Those were the days! I could tell Santa Barbara used to be incredible but when I went thru there a few years ago the traffic was gridlock and it was miserable. Still pretty beaches tho.

Yes, that's me on the horse. A long time ago! I spent most of the 70's in Santa Barbara. I have a son who was born there and a sister who lives there still. I love the place but haven't been there in a long time.
