A divorce after 77 years? One 99-year-old man is doing it

Story today from The Globe & Mail. 

The husband hits the new record for age of divorcees.  His wife is 96. Probable previous record was held by a British couple, both aged 98, who had only been married for 36 years (2nd marriage for both). 

This current divorcing couple in Italy.  Husband discovered wife was unfaithful back in the 40s and took a fit.  Those hot-blooded Italians (oops, better duck, we have some Italians on board). (Or let me blame the stereotype on the Italians themselves, with their intra-country prejudices:  "The Italian press attributed the acrimonious split to the couple's southern blood – he is originally from Olbia in Sardinia, while his wife was born in Naples.") In an observation of how things are speeding up in this modern world, somebody (can't find it now) mentioned Kim Kardashian and Sinéad O'Connor, who didn't last 77 DAYS... (Those crazy Armenians and Irish...)
