Every night before my oldest goes to sleep he requires music. Usually his Papa has this responsibility, and has taken it upon himself to school Winston in the music of The Beatles, The Pixies, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Leon Russel, and many others.
Last night, with Papa not feeling so hot, I took over song duty. We all crawled up into the big bed, and the laptop was tuned to Youtube. There were a few songs before the one I'm about to share, but this is the one that had the three of us swaying and singing together.

I discovered Elizabeth Mitchell through some late night, Amazon-searching fury, and I've never been dissapointed since. My wee ones love the songs, and her voice is perfectly fit for Mommy's own selfish consumption as well.
She's had a couple of videos on Noggin too. This one is our favorite:

We own the cds that both of these songs appear on. Through Mz. Mitchell's music, I re-discovred Woody Guthrie, and also fell all over again for Lisa Loeb. How can you not love those glasses? Sigh... And Mr. Guthrie's "Songs to Grow On" is exceptional bathtime music...

Merry Saturday to you... Grow, grow, grow. Biggy, big, big.
