Posting this in the running, this is also a part of the weeklong celebration of our dear blogmate James M Emmerling, hope my resposting this here doesn't upset you:

FIRST LESSON IN GESTALT THERAPY...
("What is the subject matter of psychology?...
1. experience is ultimately contact
2.every human function is an interacting in an organism/environment field, sociocultural, animal, and physical.
CONTACT is the the work of forming a figure of interest against a ground or context of the organism/environment field..
it is assimilation and growth" ...Frederick Perls, "Gestalt Therapy")
....................................................................................................
Faith is the opposite of security.
When I aggressively,
impartially
creatively
become excited
by the conflict
"facing me",
( i.e. existing in the organism/environment field
that includes "me"...
a field of ever- fluctuating
figures and grounds, endlessly...)
when win or lose, i act...
i destroy and then assimilate
what the ground offers me
in creating a new figure...
not attached to what might be lost,
not even knowing what may be gained,
(for all I know is : I am changing,
and will identify with what i become,
i will create myself a new i...)
then I have faith:
absorbed in my activity,
i don't protect the background,
cling to it for security....
I draw energy from it...
with the faith
it will prove adequate...
Faith is knowing when you take a step,
the ground will hold you up.
Security is the muscular clinch of wobblingly,
releuctantly , or not
taking a step...
I am simply protecting where i stand, paralyzed...secure

These words are true. James is a very smart and unique man. He is very above what most find needed trappings in this world. How appealing is that? How lovely is that I guess I really want to say.
Happy Birthday James!
Well done.

Art - trying to see me or James in the way you mention was really truly difficult - neither of us are that kind :) but I was amused nevertheless and I hope it made Jim smile -
Linda, you are a really nice human being, do you remember how I had thought you were Victoria's friend and nearly threw you out of my life? You earned my love and trust and I am tankful to you for it, bec no one wants their lives to fill up with people they cannot like. Thanks for joining in to wish our friend, James. A hug for you.
Sparkling, yeah, he can be brilliant when he is inspired or in pain :)
Scyla sums it up for me nicely thank you - n you yourself are a thorough gentleman.

"Press send please FRed(tm) and yes I know he'll check into Rolling's Blog to see who's wished him an 'appy BirfDay."
Creek, what does that expression press send please FRed(tm) mean? O I don't care where he gets his stuff or how he looks long as he talks to me and is the way he is :) In fact, when I came to know James here, he looked emaciated and really ill clutching on to a cat for dear life and he was going through horrible times and yet he kept writing - never once wavering from being who he is. I think besides Patrick Frank here, James Mark Emmrling is the one most constant person I know and it is a comfort being around him in the virtual world. He looks great now. Thank you Creek, for making our friend feel good and special and showing up at his birthday bash. Hope you liked what he had written.
There were so many really brilliant posts, he deleted them all! I miss not being able to get back to the archives. I guess he needed to clean up to move on.
I think Victoria might have managed to pull him out of the deep dark blues. I dont like her, in fact, I detest her, she is savage, but if she brings out the good in him, nothing like it. I am really, truly happy to see Jim so happy and comfortable
Yes, tis true. This was a great blog for his birthday though. It was really great. :)
