Terrorism With Blasphemous Intent

Rate: 0 Flag

When a terrorist builds a bomb and then throws it into a crowd, he doesn't care who gets hurt.  He merely wants destruction.

Well, for several months, terrorists built a bomb and lobbed it into two countries that have been working on building new governments, governments that were created by the people, for the people of those countries.  The bomb detonated and people died.

But this wasn't a regular bomb with black powder, this was an incendiary video which blasphemed Islam's prophet, Mohammed. The promoter of this video, Steve Klein, a right wing activist with ties to the Christian militia, admitted that he and the producer,  Nakoula Basseley Nakoula (aka Sam Bacile), an Egyptian Coptic Christian with a lengthy criminal record intended this movie to be inflammatory.  Klein actually stated, "We went into this knowing this was probably going to happen."

Klein, Nakoula and the people who helped distribute this movie had hoped for violence.  They had counted on violence. They had planned for Middle Eastern Muslims to die,  what they hadn't counted on was that the people that died, in part, would be Americans.

They meant to be political and religious terrorists - they hadn't counted on being traitors.  But, they are both, as they planned and executed an act they knew would cause violence and they did it for political and religious reasons and, because of it, an American ambassador,  two state department workers and two Marines lost their lives.

Make no mistake, those who rioted are just as responsible but the bomb that triggered the riots was thrown from California and those who threw it should be held just as responsible.
