When segregation became obsolete drug war became the race policy, leaving jack booted agents and gang bangers to destroy urban america's social and political structures - and eventually enabled the selection of Bush in 2000.

Drug addiction is horrible, indeed - but pales in comparison to the horrors of decades of repression via internal state sponsored terrorism that has been employed under the guise of law enforcement.
