pretty little thing, isn't she?
at about age 5 - in her prime
She just erped her dinner on the floor next to my chair. Walked up quietly and carefully, stopped with her head level with the front leg of the chair and hurled.
(I am staring intently at the monitor, hoping the Insatiable Poodle will sneak around and clean up for me. Annnnd - in less time than it took to type that short sentence he was on the job ... that's my boy. It's good to have things you can count on. From the sound of things, I mean. Really, I didn't see a thing! He's so fast!!)
I think she ate too much too fast on a too empty stomach. She rejected breakfast and snarfed dinner - usually a good thing. She's picky picky picky and losing weight so all her eating is extra important. "We want to keep her calories up," the vet said. I'll give her a couple tiny meals yet tonight to make up for this loss. Today she's accepting a plastic-packaged grocery store food I once wouldn't have bought - and certainly would not have admitted to buying. Now I'll buy damn near anything she'll eat. For the past two days she would eat kibble in warmed chicken broth.
It's been a hellish week and I haven't cooked for her in a while.
