HELPFUL SUGGESTION: if you like what you've read (and even if you didn't), come back in a day or two. It'll be better. In fact, if you hated it, you must come back and read it again because it will definitely be better. *************************** "I find that I am so excited I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. a thursday poem for my love (you wow me)

Rate: 12 Flag

chagall_rooster

through graying skies you and I sit content gazing upon the sole world we will ever know as white powdered drifts surround us covering our faces and tongues tearfilled eyes a delicate symphony

we linger in this time you and your funky chicken, me with my floral schemes and dream of the other whither this is now or tomorrow

we dream on

this is not a timeless time or an endless end but a now as present as here with no pending issues to stop us from this breath, this intake of life

our time in now and we are together

moving flowing faster still

hands swelling as backs bend clicking heels we hardly catch our breaths

one day you will sit alone for a while or will it be me? one of us will wait with cool delicate fingers and closed eyes

our immediate most precious moment white powdered snow in the sun

timeless and forever

for you because you are so sweet and thoughtful and I love those little gifts that I find every morning. monkey!
I haven't thought about the funky chicken in years!
Oh Monkey... this is beautiful. It is now, in the very moment where you to exist. So lovely, it makes me want to catch snowflakes on my tongue.
Dang it! I need to train myself to rate when I enter the room, 'cause the rates don't stick otherwise. RATE!
you silly wommin. I do love you both! thank you***

(happy festivalling in the snow!)
Chagall was a perfect choice for the paintings. His wife, Bella, I'm sure you know, was a constant in his work.

"one day you will sit alone for a while or will it be me? one of us will wait with cool delicate fingers and closed eyes" Oh, such feelings of love and loss! Live for today - so beautifully expressed.
R
very very beautiful, fm - there' s a lucky man - thankyou
one of my favorite portraits (which I used as a reference for my morgan painting) is the one of bella with the lace collar and fan.

and I'd steal his imagery if I could figure a way to without looking like a dork.

thank you Donna. the snow today is a surprise. snow always takes me by surprise in the emotions it creates in me. I love it so much. again, thank you.
kim, you are very kind. it's a lucky give and take (depending on the day of the week). some days neither one of us is lucky. some days we are so so fortunate, it is like finding that pot of gold. thank you so much.
this is such a beautiful combination of art and words, and there are *just enough* words. the snow references are so ... fluffy. great, monkey.
thank you femme. I wuz inspired by my new snuggly. hahahahah (I'm going to have to blog my festival gifts) again, thank you.

Ps I gotta go over to your blog and ask what you thought of last nights speech.
Lovely, lovely, lovely. The lover's constant sorrow that one day one of us will sit alone. Until then...
yes, like today i sit alone looking at the thick falling snow, thinking of he who will come home and snowthrow, who leaves me bananas with bows and burgundy snugglies and chocolates and loves me with all he has.

this is a day of thinking of the now and then
"...no pending issues to stop us from this breath, this intake of life"

lovely
"this is not a timeless time or an endless end" - I hope whomever this is written for has the the opportunity to read it...the entire poem was lovely.
loraine,
thank you.

outside,
mr whomever has no doubt read. he keeps tabs on my lunacys. he leaves gifts for my birthday festival, so I write monkey love songs. quid pro quo.

walkaway,
yes, i think so. i think we got lucky this time around. thank you.
Love the way you put the words together, throw in a little silliness and still give us a piece with a great depth of emotion. Rated
I love chagall, and this poem is wonderful!
couldn't go beyond couple of lines...
rainee,
thats sweet. thank you.

anne,
love chagall too and I'm glad you liked my poem!

validating lov,
well, I try (sometimes I can't either). maybe next time. thank you for stopping by!
Monkey toes! This was so airy in its unfolding. I loved the art which accompanied it. Thank you for a beautiful pause in my day.
sparkling girly, that was sweet of you to say.

thank you.***
