Gutless Democrats and the Fear of Closing Gitmo

Rate: 4 Flag

Nothing better shows how utterly gutless Senate Democrats are than their response to Senate GOPers' propagandistic claim that the Obama administration is "releasing" terrorists in the US by closing the camp at Guantanamo. Even Harry Reid, the Democrats' Majority Leader, has fallen for the bait by referring to a possible transfer of the camps' detainees as "releasing" them in the US. Huh?

That's right: transfering prisoners from one facility to another is now "releasing" them. In the bizarro world, up is down and down is up.

Take a look at the cowardly and bizarre language that Reid uses. I've always felt that there's really one political party in the U.S., the Republican Party. Even if you disagree with their policies, you know where they stand.

The Democrats? Merely a collection of cowards masqurading as a political party.

As for the Gitmo terrorist: send them to Alcatraz!

Transferring these detainees from one prison to another accomplishes nothing more than enabling our President to say he met his commitment to close Gitmo within 1 year.
Unfortunately, our government created this mess, now we are stuck trying to dismantle it. There are no easy solutions here. We haven’t established guilt or innocence. We are reluctant to release these individuals to their homeland. No other country has stepped forward to accept this burden. If there were an easy and clear cut solution, the President and his leadership team would have figured it out by now.
I am an Independent…which I’d like to type in all caps, except that it might seem that I am shouting. I would not be a Democrat or a Republican if someone held a gun to my head.

Despite that, my reaction to this rant, Norman, is…

…BITE ME!!!!

Where the hell do you come off so cock sure these people are “cowards” for handling things judiciously and with care?

You’ve written some decent stuff here in OS (and some I that I thought stunk)…but this post goes beyond stinking!
