Try to assist in the moving prepartation.

Week ending 9/25

Cut recovery short by being macho.

Go back to bed after realizing you are an idiot.

Celebrate first wedding anniversary. No matter how many drugs you are still taking, do not forget this. oops remember to buy card next week.

Week ending 10/2

Catch up on email from work. Plan for October.

Check on wife's mental health. Often.

Drive back to Massachusetts

Move wife and dogs to Yonkers.

Then exhale.

If I had some extra time, I'd reform health care, too, but I'm a little busy. Maybe in October.

Good luck with everything! Sounds like a lot!
Holy crap!
That's quite a list. Take care of yourself and try not to let all this stress you out.
The drives between MA,CT and NY should be beautiful during September!
Good luck on the surgery, the move and your anniversary. But, weren't you the one that said you didn't care what went on here as long as you were read?

This sounds like a going away note to friends to me...?

Hmmmm.

denese
tai -- thanks for the good wishes

Spotted -- Stressed? What's there to be stressed about?
I love list people. Here's my list for September so far...go to bed after this comment, golf tomorrow, try not to swear. That's it. Oh, and make another list for the next 12 hours.

Seriously, good luck with the house and the operation. That's a lot of stress for one month. I'd understand if you don't comment on all my posts, but I'll forget that I said this in about an hour. Maybe you could make me a list? :)

More importantly, happy anniversary. Namaste. Enjoy the drugs at least.
I'm tired just reading your list...
Well, there's always November. Good luck with it all.
Denese -- go ahead throw my own words in my face.

Janie -- I am so not a list person. I am an ENTP. I only have a list of things I'd like to do someday. At least I can find this list if I need it.

iamsurly - I WILL be Surly by the end of the month if something screws up.
Wow! First, congrats on your anniversary! Second, good luck with the surgery! I am sending you prayers! And Third... take a nap!
I guess that song "See You in September" does not apply. See you in October? All better and moved?
(And as one who has just moved, good luck!) And Happy Anniversary.
trilogy -- November seems sooooo far away

Lois -- You're the tops! No wonder Chuck Stetson has the hots for you ;). Thanks for the prayers.
Lea -- It will be great to have wife and dogs under one roof permanently. Also we'll have a place of our own. Then we can get on with the rest of our lives together. It's an exciting time.
"Cut recovery short by being macho." My favorite; it made me smile. I don't know what kind of surgery you are having but I do hope it goes well.
I love your list and while it sounds a tad daunting, I see a lot of love in it and Hallmark cards (and Hallmark phone calls) in your future.
BE WELL. You'll be missed while you're gone and know I'm sending healing hugs. And happy anniversary(s)!
Damn. Now I need to add to my list: Get organized.
wow, oe, that's a long list. please take care of yourself and don't be macho after the surgery! prayers for the surgery going very well and the pain not being as bad as you've been told and for excellent drugs. :) have a lovely anniversary and an okay move to Connecticut. love love love and gratitude. i'll miss you but i'm glad you're taking care of business. please fix health care when you finish all of this.
At a non-drive through restaurant!? So demanding. Happy Anniversary with many, many more to follow. Good luck with the surgery. And the move. And the sale. You might want to ask for extra painkillers.
I just want to know what you'll be doing in your spare time?

I'm a list maker...and September...I barely know what tomorrow will bring. Take care, one day at a time.
Good luck with your surgery. Take as many painkillers as they will give you. You forgot to add "hallucinate" to your list.

We'll be waiting to hear how everything went.

Be well (oh, my, I think my sleeping meds are kicking in). Put that high on your list.
Oh my. Please let the other folks handle some of the load for a while!
Good luck and best wishes....
Good luck to you my friend and your wife!! Happy Anniversary!!

And screw the work email, it'll be there when you get back, trust me!! ;D
I know that idle hands are the devil's work shop, but thats taking it a little too far.

Cut recovery short by being macho.

Let me know how that one goes. God knows I've tried!

Come back healthy! Roger
Just remember to pack some patience. Take care and heal well. I hope, at the end of it all, you find yourself in the home you always dreamed of, ready to start year #2.
Whew, I'm exhausted now! Sheeps, this is a heavy schedule - just moving is challenging for me, but you want to add surgery to it too? Yikes.

Anyway, I know you are plenty macho to accomplish it all, but No Heavy Lifting!. We will be thinking of you, get well soon and Happy Anniversary!
You are going to be one busy fella during September! My list goes like this. Look for job. look for job. look for job...........
My husband will tell you it's my specialty. In all other areas I can't remember a thing.

Really. Take care we'll see you when you get back.

d
Of course you'll be in excruciating pain - it's MAN pain ;)

Only kidding - you've got quite the schedule, and I hope it all goes off as planned and without a hitch! Heal quickly and well!
your list made me exhausted. good luck with the surgery (I've had it before and so has The Geek) - it won't be too bad after the first week. Just don't sneeze after no matter how much you want to. And be patient with the packing if they use packing. It is annoying, but when you get it removed: freedom!

Happy almost anniversary and get some movers cause you shouldn't lift anything for a while.
Hope the pain is slight, hope the wife enjoys the anniversary dinner, hope the move is without too many inconveniences, and hope you heel quickly! Screw the emails! See ya in October!
Outside myself -- I have this fear that my wife has a higher tolerance for pain than i do.

Tia -- The situation is pretty serious when I sit down and compose a list. There are a lot of moving parts.

teddy -- Thanks for the supportive comments. I'll see what I can do about health care when I get back.

Stim -- that's a joke between Ms. Sheepdog and me. We rarely go out to a restaurant with a the drive through.

Buffy -- Yeah I was afraid someone was going to bring up "spare time". That's kind of like "spare change".

TBK4 -- Hallucinate as a "To Do" item. It sounds like a flashback to the 60s.

Zuma -- Truer words were never spoken.

Chuck -- thanks.

tink -- My boss is very supportive. I wonder if I can bring my blackberry into the OR. Is there still time for to sign up for Twitter?
I can Tweet from the OR or in recovery tweet OWWWWWWWW.
ghost -- Thanks

Scanner -- September is like a drain that has backed up.

Roger -- I already know the outcome. I will be instructed by Ms. Sheepdog, the almost perfect woman, to follow Doctor's orders.

Melissa -- I hope patience isn't already packed away in the storage unit we rented. This is good advice. Thanks

Ardee -- This ENT doctor previously performed surgery on Ms. Sheepdog, so she is behind having the surgery before we move. If I can recover sooner, there will be more time to do other stuff.

Michael -- I don't envy this task for you in the current economy. Be relentless in your search and pull out all the stops in the interview process as you progress through your search.

Denese -- You are too funny, thanks.

Bluesurly -- At least you're kind to animals.

L&P -- I'm thinking of all the weight I'm going to lose. Yee haa.

Fab -- thanks very much!
Wow! Busy busy man and awesome husband! Best wishes on the surgery. I hope it is successful. As a MA girl who summered in Conn. frequently, it's nice to hear about my old stomping grounds.
Take care of yourself this month, better yet, let others help take care of you. We'll be here when you get back. Best wishes for a speedy recovery . . . from everything.
Good luck with your surgery! Love your plan to take your wife to a Broadway show and dinner. What show? I love Broadway!
I wish some of your gumption and organizational skills would wear off on me! I hope you get everything done that you need to -- especially in regards to your house(s), and that your surgery goes well. Don't forget to pencil in breathing!
Deborah -- thanks for the kind words.

Coyote -- Having others take care of me is a behavior I need to learn.

Mary T -- She has two she wants to see: "God of Carnage" which I think is about my first marriage, and "August Osage County" which sounds like it's located in rural Vermont. I have to find tickets today.

Susan -- The surgery in pursuit of a decent night's sleep which I can relate to. Living apart from your life partner 5 night a weeks is less than optimal (aka sucks). You've got three kids so you must have gumption.
Geoff -- Yeah it sucks to be me right now! October should be fun.
OEsheepdog, that's a full schedule to say the least! Best of luck with the surgery, the home purchase, all of the moving and congratulations on your anniversary! To have a month all booked up in advance leaves little room for spontaneity and I can certainly appreciate how this feels.
Gee, wish I was that busy. Gum surgery is about it for me.
Good luck with the surgery! We'll keep your seat warm.
I completely missed this. PLEASE take good care of yourself. You will be missed. .xoxo
And yet with your busy schedule you managed to find time to make snarky accusatory posts...which demonstrate you missed the point. Could be a medication issue.

On the bright side, maybe you can find the time to reform health care from your hospital bed.

That just my hopeful nature being audacious again.

Meanwhile I've decided to report on misogyny. Again.
