Washington (AP) – This war in Iran entered its fifth month today. Since President McCain’s massive stroke in February, which left him in a persistent vegetative state, Sarah Palin assumed the Presidency under the provisions of the 25th amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
So far, over 10,000 American soldiers have died in Iran. The port of Long Beach, California remains closed due the radiobiological attacks on the port city, by Al Queda. The bank failures of 2009 and the mass layoffs of thousands of businesses who could not get credit put the latest unemployment rates at 26%. The wide spread protests in cities all across America, have forced Acting President Palin to declare marital law.
Ms. Palin, recently asked former Vice President Dick Cheney to come out of retirement and be the Czar for domestic security. Palin recently pardoned Cheney aide Scooter Libby and he is now a White House Counsel.
Secretary of the Treasury Hank Paulson announced that Goldman Sachs would be the Outsourcer for Treasury Department operations. Paulson said his previous employment at Goldman played no role in his decision.
The New York Times filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy today. News Corporation CEO Roger Ailes expects his company to buy the assets of the Times at public auction.
The Acting President will host a fundraiser at the Business Roundtable in Washington tonight in hopes of returning Republican to power in Congress in the 2010 elections.
Members of the United Nations are planning where to relocate the Headquarters after UN Ambassador John Bolton delivered a letter from the President indicating that United States will be leaving the United Nations at the end of the year.
Finally, with all the crises the United States faces, pundits are beginning to ask if the election of Barack Obama would have produced a different direction for the country.
