Today is my parents wedding anniversary. My sisters and I decided that we would order some flowers for them. It was either that alphabet flower company or that dotcom company. Well, I chose the latter because I couldn't get the flowers of my choice(when I needed them) from the alphabet company. Well, I could kick myself twice for going with the other company.
So about 3pm, I called my little sister and asked if she had spoken with my mom to see if the 'package' had arrived. She hadn't. So, I called and asked if the package had arrived and my mom replied no. Well, I call this dotcom place and the automated system informed me that my package was scheduled for delivery today. Around 5pm, I called my daughter to see if the 'package' had arrived and she told me no. Once again, I called but this time I spoke with a person and was told that 7pm is the regular delivery time. At 7:26pm, my daughter informed me that the package did not arrive. I called them again and guess what the operator asked me? Did I want a 20% off coupon for my next purchase? It took all of me not to bless this woman good. I know it was not her fault that the 'package' didn't get delivered, but come on now, use some common sense. I ordered this for an anniversary, which is today. Why would I want a coupon for a discount when you couldn't even get my order right the first time. I politely told the woman that I'd like my money back. They breached their agreement and I am not going to pay a dime for that.
After speaking with these dotcom people, I called my sisters and we had a conference call. My one sister informed me that her classmate told her to never use this dotcom company. They rarely show up and when/if they do the 'package' is never what it's supposed to be.
The call center receptionist was very apologetic and asked me to call if the 'package' came tomorrow. She wanted to know what company they used so they won't use them again. You'd think in this day and time, with the current economy, companies would be doing whatever it takes to make sure the customer receives their product.
OMG! They just got the package! Literally just got it @ 9:32pm, CST

I've learned that it's best to get on the computer, find a florist near where you want to send the flowers and then get on the horn and call them up directly. Saves you money, saves them money too.
@ emma, I was going to do that, but I had to run some errands after work and we were going to go out for dinner but we were waiting on the flowers.
@Lisa, it was the company tequilaanddonuts mentioned.
