Had the pleasure of spending time with 30 Rock's Comedienne/Actor Kevin Brown aka Dot Com when he headlined the weekend of Feb 5, 2011 in Boca Raton Florida at the New York Comedy Club!    Also known in the world of comedy as Uptown Kevin Brown!   

The previous weekend Dot Com was at the SAG awards  in Los Angeles with great weather and was blown away by the awesome 80 degree weather in Boca in February.  Dot Com commented ice was packed on ice in New York.    

I was Dot Com's guest at Saturday's two shows.  The 9:00pm show was packed with old and 30's+ something crowd.   (Not surprised at all of the make-up of the crowd)  Boca Raton is your high income/lots of retirees.  It is my guess polo is the main sport hence the extensive Ralph Lauren wardrobe and accessories.

Dot Com has a great "on-stage" presence.  His stage persona is that of the guy next door sharing personal experiences  to help the audience avoid life's pitfalls and celebrate life's surprises. 

Dot Com acknowledges the change 30 Rock has had on his life as a product of a Bronx hood.  He quips prior to 30 Rock , everyone thought  he was just a big Black bald headed man who handled Security.   This was a bitter-sweet comment since it is a jab at  society for  labeling people screaming you were never going to acknowledge the possibility that a big bald headed Black man could have skills other than play football (athletes) or handle security.  

Dot Com then goes on to say "let a fight break out in here and see what I don't do....."

Dot Com talked about the responsibility of being a wing-man for friends however since he is a 7 he expects his friends to hook him up with at least a 7 or higher.  Dot Com said he can get a 4 on his own...... and  ( will not spoil it for you) lol...

Comedy is suppose to make us feel a little uncomfortable simultaneously making us laugh at life and ourselves.   Dot Com achieves that in his comedic routine.  

The second show Dot Com had assistance from "Lourdes" a rambunctious person from the audience.  That show had a younger crowd and Dot Com played to it.  "He killed them"

After the show, we hung out at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino,  a place that never sleeps.  As we walked through the crowds of people, Dot Com (6ft 5 inches and 300 lbs) blended into the crowd.  Having read many comments about his size,  I told him he was really not as big as others made him out to be.   What the what?

The following weekend Dot Com performed in Perrysburg, Ohio ( near Toledo Ohio)
