The casting director took a slightly different approach the THIRD TIME asking Dot Com for a favor. Since she postured the request as a favor, Dot Com agreed to do it.
Dot Com had no idea who Tina Fey was when he got the call.
During Dot Com’s audition time Tracy Morgan walked in. The two went way back (years). Both were glad to see each other. Tracy introduced Big Kev Dot Com to Tina as his ‘‘homeboy”. Between Tracy’s intro and the obvious chemistry between the homies, Dot Com got the part. Originally four guys were picked for the entourage, weeks later it was scaled down to two. Dot Com made the cut!
The producers and writers of the show discovered Dot Com was a trained Comedian/Actor. Eventually Dot Com got a script with lines… moniker “Dot Com” as the character.
In celebration of the 100th episode that airs Thursday April 21, 2011 we highlight the character and Comedian/Actor Kevin “Dot Com” Brown of #30rock.
#30rock is NBC’s crown jewel. Over the 5 years it garnered multiple awards for the show, its actors, cast and crew! It is the well known brainchild of the brilliant and talented Tina Fey!

Recently in an interview by the Arizona Daily Star Kevin” Dot Com” Brown characterized the journey of being on ’30 Rock’ as changing his life. The article went on to say the ’30 Rock” gig gives the Comedian the chance to take risks and to tour the country with his stand-up comedy routine.
Dot Com headlined at the following venues this year with his comedy routine : New York Comedy Club in Boca Raton Florida; Toledo Funny Bone in Perrysville, Ohio; Tampa Improv in Tampa, Florida, Punchline in Sacramento, California ; Laffe’s Comedy Café in Tucson Arizona and is scheduled 4/30/11@9pm Savin Rock Roasting Company 946 Ferry Blvd, Stratford, Connecticut.
Dot Com expressed the following about his comedy in the Arizona Daily Star “ I know I’m funny, but nobody knows that that guy who plays Dot Com is a tremendous standup comedian”. “ When I go to comedy clubs…the audience will come out to see Dot Com, but they have no idea how skilled I am. I have been doing comedy 14 years and I am a beast on stage. They (the audience) are going to have a great time.”
Dot Com’s character weaved its way into the public’s heart. Many love his time on the screen with his facial expressions, innuendos and the character's wit. #30rock viewers consistently tweet about more scenes and lines for Dot Com.

Jack: When I was at Princeton I played baseball and football. And back then football players went both ways.
Dot Com: Really, so you went both ways?
Jack: Yea we all did. It was the 70s.
Jack: Yeah I was on the DL most of my Junior year.
Dot Com: DL can mean Disabled List. But it can also mean down low. Or secretly gay. Which one was Jack talking about?
Jack: When we were on the DL we spend most of our time in the whirlpool, getting a rub down.
Dot Com: You were a switch hitter
Jack: Switch hitter, pitcher, catcher. Whatever the boys needed.
Dot Com the character and the man has swag! #30rock congrats on 100 episodes and the premier of #30rock on Comedy Central. Applause and standing ovation to the incredible #tinafey, brilliant #alecbaldwin and extremely talented #tracymorgan and the rest of the cast, writers, producers and crew .
