- I was born in San Antonio, Texas, into a military family. After living in Europe most of my childhood, we moved back to San Antonio where my father retired.
I married early and divorced early. I worked my way through college soon after. With my degree in Spanish, I have worked as a college instructor, a High School teacher, a tutor in Spanish and writing. In order to better support my family while my second husband was dying of cancer, I took a position in retail management. I now work in marketing for my fiancee's company.
I have lived and studied abroad, but I consider myself a true Texan. San Antonio is in my blood.
While some would call me a liberal where politics are concerned, I choose to call myself moderate. I realize there are two arguments in any debate, and each will undoubtedly have valid points.
I love a good glass of wine, good literature, doing anything with my family, and great, solid, thought provoking debate.

Logic vs. Emotion
Recently, a good friend of mine (my best friend actually) decided to try an experiment on his Facebook page. He posted two comments on health care reform. In the first one he laid out a logical argument about health care in America and challenged his friends to come up with solutions.&nbs… Read full post »

Thanksgiving Day Political Intervention...but with love
I’ve been doing a great deal of thinking since spending Thanksgiving with my brother and his family. The meal was wonderful, as usual. My sister-in-law is a fantastic cook. The company was great. We relaxed after dinner, listening to my nephews play the French horn and the trombone.… Read full post »
