Climate Change

Say what ? Have I gone nuts ? Perhaps so

The Origins of the Global Warming Scare

Did you know, that the “Human caused Global Warming” hypothesis didn´t originate in the 1980s, but actually in the 1880s? Although, until the late 1970s, the hypothesis was considered “a curiosity”, since it contradicted observed events.

There’s more to climate fraud than just tax hikes

By now we know that Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) theory has been built on a mixture of hype and massaged data. Various carbon tax schemes have been put forward, even unprecedented proposals for a world wide taxation authority to be overseen by the UN. Does it follow that the primary agenda behind the fraud was implementing these new taxes, or were these proposed tax schemes secondary and part of a proclivity on the part of the state to seize any opportunity to enhance revenue?

 The Sunspot Cycle
http://solarscience.msfc.nasa.gov/SunspotCycle.shtml

Early records of sunspots indicate that the Sun went through a period of inactivity in the late 17th century. Very few sunspots were seen on the Sun from about 1645 to 1715 (38 kb JPEG image). Although the observations were not as extensive as in later years, the Sun was in fact well observed during this time and this lack of sunspots is well documented. This period of solar inactivity also corresponds to a climatic period called the "Little Ice Age"

Milankovich Cycles

Milankovitch proposed that the changes in the intensity of solar radiation received from the Earth were effected by three fundamental factors.  The first is called eccentricity, a period of about 100,000 years in which the nearly circular orbit of the Earth changes into a more elliptical orbit. The next factor is called obliquity, a period of about 41,000 years where the Earth's axis tilt varies between 21.5 and 24.5 degrees.  The final factor is called precession, a period of approximately 23,000 years where the Earth's axis wobbles like a spinning top.

Below is the correct link for the above cited article "There’s more to climate fraud than just tax hikes"

I've seen one comment which led me to believe that people thought this was more than a sampler on the topic. Not so much
Here's the intro on the blog where more updates were also posted

Of course there is much more than tax hikes.

Have you seen this:

http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/12/a_climatology_conspiracy.html
The URL wouldn't track : not that American Thinker isn't a trove of information.
The article that set me going was a disinformation scam : that started a hunt for further and better particulars. That was rapidly added to by science writer Dr. John v. Kampen on his science blog my.opera.com/nepmak2000/blog/ where a long comment thread exchanged quite a few ideas. All that is part of the Dec 4 opitslinkfest.blogspot.com post : itself partially a repost of a Dec 1 entry at the blog section of the RSS/Index site my.opera.com/oldephartte/blog
But dipping into search on American Thinker certainly leaves no room for doubt that 'Fraud": was writ large in the minds of commenters
the leftist goal of world domination can actually be rationally 'justified' if we truly need to drastically change our way of life to avoid climate catastrophe.

Other fields are not immune from this sickness, but since the stakes are lower the scale is smaller. In physics the reigning theories have been bankrupt for almost half a century, but once you have two generations of physicists that subscribe to these theories, then they are cast in concrete. No one who has worked to achieve a significant place in the system is willing to rock the boat.

Gigantic institutions that have been taken over by unions to provide a lifetime job (tenure or govt worker) followed by a handsome pension automatically become corrupt. As a rule no one will make decisions (see 'Major Hassan') for fear of rocking the (politically correct) boat. Only a crisis will change anything and then only as long as required to stop the boat from rocking.

From the perspective of one who spent eleven years working for the government and four decades as an independent small businessman/scientist, it seems almost hopeless. The "hive mind" that is required to spend one's life in a large institution is currently on display in "Climategate" but it is everywhere.

As one commenter on another thread expressed it: "Well, I can't trust the government. I can't trust the media. I can't trust Wall street and now I can't trust the scientific community. Thank God there is still professional wrestling."

It may not be hopeless, but it sure is discouraging.

You may note the confabulation between 'Leftists' and 'Communists' which is still common. Given that usage of political terms is more common in the breach than the observance one has to wonder what the fascist ploy is with this standard practice : one linked to 'Jewish Conspiracy' which is a fine displacement of 'Bankers Conspiracy' all by itself. Mind, AIPAC in the US and Mossad influence in the UK are extreme : it just doesn't tell you who is pulling the strings of the Fed, CFR, Bilderbergers, Illuminati, Bonesmen and more.
