I need clarification

How can any American be proud of his or her country knowing how many innocent people their government has killed for natural resources such as oil, natural gas, ect...

De Nile is not just a river in Egypt. The state is funded by corporations. Those corporations' interests drive 'education' that completely violates the principles of intelligent inquiry  : the teaching of people how to find things out for themselves. Rather 'reporting' and entertainment focus on the cult of personality. With TV and more, that can be anything advertising can conceive.

I can recall reports from the 1960's where the CIA had funded research on Canadians without their knowledge or consent : at McGill university. Botanicals from the Amazon were the subject of expeditions to find new drugs.  Preparations to put in water to make people paralyzed with fear and run and hide were experimented with.

Farther back, corporate farms were established in South and Central America...driving farmers off the land as is happening in North America today. When the land became worthless for raising crops in Brazil - something primitive farmers using cleared jungle face routinely - more jungle was cleared...forest destroyed.

History is ignored. You can't figure out how you arrived at a place without knowing your past. Copyright on TV programs is so strict people running peer-to-peer on decades-old video on Martin Luther King had to pull it...persecuted by the state.

Yes...I do know how to spell prosecuted. The word stands.

So where are we ? Everybody studies the same curriculum at the same schools : learning about 'The Land of the Free." Meantime everything falls apart from neglect while the troops are away killing foreigners in their own lands. Levees.org tracks waterway problems with dams and levees : a reaction to NOLA's experience with Katrina.

Water is poisoned by chemicals from agriculture and flushed prescription drugs. Some even goes through us as 'food'. Sewage is spread on the land : complete with biological contaminants being dispersed into the crops.

The results of abdication of civic responsibility  will come home. The state is ready to 'cut of the heads' of leadership which tries to make a sustainable world.

Surely you didn't think Copenhagen was more than another act of deceit.

My surfing notes index is at My Opera  It's not a student's essay - but just what I thought worth noting as I bumped into it. Check About for suggestions on how to get the most out of it.
